– Looks like I’ll be at Rose City Comic Con here in Portland on Sept 10-11th. I’ll also be at Geek Girl con in Seattle on Oct 8-9th and, the Portland Retro Gaming expo on Oct 22-23rd and Kumoricon on Oct 28-30th. Looks like Oct will be pretty busy!
– The Kickstarter is going strong. We hit our 4th or 5th stretch goal last night, and we’re a getting close to our next one. You can check out The Magical land of Yeld on Kickstarter here. We still have two weeks to go! here’s some art form recent updates.
Is that squid hair or a squid hat?
It’s a hat
Making it slightly more horrifying. And awesome!
I assumed it was a cool parasitic brain eating squid living on the poor girl’s head.
Thats just a fancy way of saying “hat”.
Is she a kid or a squid?
Shes a kid with a squid.
or a Squid with a kid. 🙂
Sss– oooooh… Jake, man, bad move. Bad topic, bad move, bad idea.
Also. Real Jake, those monster-girls are incredibly cute! Especially the hunter-satyr!
And even if Jake did have Marah, she’d also be totally for returning to Yeld.
Somethin’ tells me Jake’s sister is getting fed up with his whining.
That, or she’s upset that he brought up the daughter she lost during a selfish rant.
Oh yes, send medusa back to the world where the psycho killed Marah and the chain unicorn lives and with millions of other dangers and monsters. Why doesn’t anyone realize this besides Jake? (convenient plot device?)
Nah… Real Jake is a way better writer than that!
totes agree on your comment on the previous comic, jake; those two images you shared from The Magical Land of Yeld are indeed some great art ^_^
People like to say, “Family always has your back.” Well, no, that’s not true at all.
Anyone with even the most limited knowledge of A Child Named It can tell you how cruel and awful having a family can be.
That said… Modest’s sisters, I feel, might need her as much as she needs them. She needs support that nobody in Oregon (cryptologist or not) can provide.
Ooh! Is that a satyr!?
