I reeeally like this. With webcomics (strip style vs. graphic novel) are always awkward to introduce but this is brilliant! Only thing I wish is that it was in color like the rest of the comic (to make it even more immersive) but the fact that you started your comic with such a handful of already made strips and the early devotion to consistency it made up for the lack of colorland n.n
(ps. I started reading on DD so I’m referring to when you started up there not when you made this site)!
LOL! If I had any writing talent I would make a children’s book guest starring MM. Seriously–this is an amazing strip with an A-list lead character. (I am really jealous) 🙁
I love this comic! I followed you from Selkiecomic.com, and Medusa really needs to guest star with Selkie. Anyway, keep up the adorable, addictive and wonderfully wrong comics!
Let’s see, seven months ago I came here from Aikonia after you guest comicked there. I read all the comics but didn’t feel like commenting at the time. Seven months I’M NOW GOING THROUGH THEM ALL; COMMENT WAAAAVE
*ahem* Hello.
When I first read this I thought the black and white was intended to give the feeling of some old horror film–you know, like Psycho. Look, everyone knows that taking the shower scene from that film and applying it to someone on the toilet would be an instant classic. The killer could come out of the holding tank!
This is a wordpress site hosted by Vision Mule (I pay a yearly fee for hosting and support). I originally built the site myself using the Comic Press Theme for WordPress. That Theme is no longer being supported (I think). The site was later rebuilt for me by jaPoshi. I switched over to using Comic Easel about a year ago.
Just started reading “Modest Medusa” after discovering and reading all of “Ghost Kiss.” Looks good so far. Thanks!
One thing, as long as you’re going back and adding color, etc. You want “overflowed,” not “overflown”. “Flow, flowed, has flowed,” not “fly, flew, has flown.”
Well… it looks like the toilet just leaks? We fixed it, but over the years its leaked again a few times, although not nearly as much. We had to replace part of the floor the first time (and I moved across the hall), but since then its been okay.

My plan is to eventually go back and color the early strips.
Well, it turned out quite nicely!
Dude, I love these. If I had any artistic talent, I would start a web comic and guest star your characters. xD

Selkie is pretty cool. I’m sure they’d get along.
I know, really late but, heh, it literally is shit.

I keep meaning to go back and post the new color versions of those pages. Hopefully I’ll get around to it before Season 4
Okay, it’s rare to just laff right out loud on page one. But ya did it to me, MM. 🙂
Wow.
I discovered you at commic con in Rose City and i had to google MM. I am glad i did.
Well great!
I keep loosing where I am in the WC and it keeps taking me here
Amazing comic too BTW
Thanks.
I was browsing kickstarter projects and found Modest Medusa. I then proceed to read through all your comics. Great job!
Thanks for checking it out!
Huh, looking at this the art is quite improved from your earliest strips. Well done!
how did you get this site up and running? what software or sites did you use?? I really want to make my own comics someday!

Did this event cause a lot of damage?
Quite a bit.
sorry to hear that, hopefully you got down to what the main problem was and it didnt happen again

Oh my god, I remember this!
I must have forgotten about it when my computer suddenly died and I had to
remember what the comics I was reading were!
Your artwork has really progressed! But it was this style that originally hooked me. Can’t believe it has been almost 9 years!
Thanks. I can’t believe it either.
