Hmm, why do I get the feeling that Modest will sing that in class at some point & subsequently get detention for it? 😛
Yeah… Once again, not a great way about her to learn about school environments. Perhaps they should turn off the TV for awhile—at least the PG-13 stuff. XD
I hear Bob’s Burgers is good, but maybe it’s a sign I’m getting old that it just looks really dumb.
I thought it looks like something O wouldn’t like. but I was completely sold on it after just one or two episodes, and it’s become one of my favorite shows.
Really? I think it’s way more fun and sophisticated than most other “adult-geared” cartoons (haha—butt and fart jokes included). It doesn’t rely on shock value or over-the-top nasty humor like “American Dad” and “Family Guy” (used to love, but got bored with the non-stop violence). The voice talent is really great too. The characters tend to be unpredictable, but still remain in character. Even the ones who come off as super goofy have thoughtful moments. Way more well-rounded than a lot of adult-comedy cartoon characters. I think I also love the fact the male lead isn’t just some stupid doofus with the female lead playing “kill-joy Mommy” all the time.
All of that, plus teh show is very positive and accepting. Each character has weird interests and quirks, but the family accepts them and doesn’t ridicule them for it, even if they don’t understand them.
Exactly! How a family should be. We are binging on it tonight. 😀
I was kind of expecting the last panel to have Modest sitting in detention again for singing the song in class 😛
Love it. My education ended with Sesame Street (I’m old).
I could see her getting the whole class involved if the kids have seen it!

Well, I don’t care about bad language (although IO try to respect other people’s feelings about it) so I doubt comic Jake would. Also, I don’t feel like ass counts as bad language, unless you’re calling someone an ass or telling them to kiss yours. But in school is another matter. Ms. Booth would probably give her detention.

Kids really don’t need songs on TV to encourage them to make fart jokes. They manage on their own just fine.

I kinda hate to ask…but does Modest even *have* an ass / boot / bum / chute / derriere?
I have no idea.
Snakes poop from a little opening before the end of their tail called a “vent.” It’s hidden under the “anal scale” so it’s not really obvious unless you are hunting for it (to sex the snake) or the snake is taking a poop. http://www.arod.com.au/arod/scale/images/ventralScales.jpg
So, they have an anus, but they don’t really have buttcheeks like mammals and some birds. I suppose Modest would be built like this since her lower half is a snake body.
I Googled “Do snakes fart”. The answer, apparently, is yes. Two snake species even use it as a defence mechanism.
And knowing is half the battle.
