– I’ll be out of town tomorrow visiting my Mom, so I’m not entirely sure what will be happening for teh Friday update. my current plan is to post it a bit late on Friday, but it may get held over till Monday. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see! Anyway, for those of you in the United States I hope you have a nice Thanksgiving!
I’m loving Modest’s expression in the last panel. It’s great seeing her eyes, well, do something else.
In the last panel when Modest says “lections”, was that a typo or just her saying elections in a cute little kid way?
Not a typo.
Clearly she’s smart enough to realize that since it won’t happen online, it’s a lection and not an eLection.
Well Modest wins the numbers game. Her and her hair outnumber everyone else in the house. Now if only her hair could be trusted! I can easily see Sneaky becoming house president instead.
I’d vote for Sneaky 😀
Yeah, her hair does seem to be looking at her like, “You realize this won’t be an unopposed election, right?”
3 will vote for Modest; the smart one will vote for someone else. Cuz, she’s smart.
Heh, I kinda want to see them vote now, and all the snakes voting for someone else… Perhaps one of them would even try to run for house president itself.
Ohhhhh…. I initially read “refuge from the princess of Yeld” as in the princess of Yeld is out to get me and I need refuge from her. I thought that Dragul had appointed another heir and that was going to lead to future plot. She really means that she wants to be given refuge by the princess. Sort of all makes sense now.
But that has nothing to do with my suspicions.
At the parent teacher conference, Jake mentioned that Ms. Brooks should have no problem with Modest being different because of some past experience. I’ve been watching Meg’s mom’s reaction because in the strip where she first sees the mermaid she didn’t look to surprised to see a mermaid. My suspicions were that more people in Portland know about Yeld than we have been shown. Boy was I wrong.
And you are right, it is Sarah and Charles’ house. How easy will it be to convince a fish scientist to let a real mermaid move in with them?
There’s a bunch of stuff about Ms. Booth that we haven’t gotten to yet. But we will eventually. Meg’s Mom was/is actually pretty surprised by the Mermaid, I just haven’t had a chance to show it yet. She’s handling it well.
When they have “lections”, I think the smart snake head will win XD
Realistically, no, there’s absolutely no way Jake would let Jenny, someone who has attacked him and his family, stay in his home. That would be completely ludicrous.
On the other hand, this is a fantasy comedy. Think of all those wacky hijinks!
Love the “Charles in Charge” reference! Also, love Modest’s evil look at last panel, or should I say “super villain” look.
The snakes all turning inwards for the little caucus theyre having.. that is priceless.
Modest has the same campaign strategy as Donald Trump.
Waiting for lections? She may already be a better leader than most.
Modest, the one-medusa caucus! But I suspect it’s a fickle sort of caucus…
Jake: Ten chocodiles for everyone who votes for me.
Serpents: :} *nom* *nom* *nommy*
Modest: Fine, I’ll take the chocodiles. I didn’t want to be house president anyway.
>:=)>
Now where’s Scott Baio? I must be getting old if I’m the first person to make a “Charles in Charge” reference.
medusa looks like calvin from calvin and hobbes in the last panel
