I’ve got no reason to believe Marah can’t reverse this and go back to her regular old life again, if that actually turns out to be what she wants.
I fail to see why she couldn’t go back. Modest is capable of living in human land with no problem, and she is far more a part of Yeld than Mariah ever could be. She also has snakes for hair and never gets any crap from other people, compared to that, horns and pointy teeth are downright tame.
