– So it looks like I’ve found a local printer that can solve my Coloring Book problem. I should have more news soon!
– Moxicopy.com is still on my grudge list. Want to help out? Go to Yelp and mark my review of Moxicopy as useful. While your at it, feel free to flag the extremely suspicious 5 star review.
– My friends over at Comic Rocket are doing an Indiegogo campaign for their webcomic reader app. They’re over half way funded and they’re not askinmg for much. There’s also some cool stuff for offer. I know there are a few similar apps out there, but this is the one I’m supporting, and I hope you will too.
Marked as useful. How do you flag a suspicious review?
On the bottom right corner there’s a little red flag that you can click on to make a complaint about the review. Please only do so if you think it’s suspicious. To me it sounds like advertising. It’s also one good review among several really negative ones, so it stands out.
The flag I see flags the business as inappropriate, not the review. Since it’s not a phone sex line or a mafia front, I feel like flagging the entire business as inappropriate would be overboard.
Oh. Err… yes.
Luckily, boxes with hats tend not to be overly heavy (having managed a branch of th ecap store Lids, I can attest to this) as otherwise, it would prove exceptionally problematic to carry one armed.
Also, marked as useful, but I don’t think the average user has the ability to flag as suspicious? I looked on the bottom right corner and saw no evidence of a little red flag. Perhaps one needs to sign up for Yelp to be able to do such things?
Oh, I bet that’s the case. I had to sign up to leave a review.
Also, thank you for confirming my Facebook friend request. You are the second person to whom I have made such a request! The first was my uncle whom I was trying to get a hold of, and the reason I created a facebook in the first place.
Not that I go on facebook but once every seven months anyway… It’s always a new experience every time I log in! =D
No problem.
This man is Jedi. There is no other way to carry box with hand on the side.
Or he glued his hand…
Try to sell some hats at a con and you end up helping a fugitive escape. And how does a one-armed person carry a box like that?
My biggest problem with Yelp is that I know of businesses that have gotten unreasonably bad reviews because one customer didn’t like a reasonable store policy. I don’t trust the generic, “this is a bad company, don’t do business with them” review. There’s an old business adage, 9 out of 10 people who were unsatisfied will take the time to complain – 1 out of 10 will take the time to praise. Yelp feeds on that sort of thing.
If they allow you to edit your statement then add more detail to what you say (quote them if you’ve got quotes) so that people can see that not only didn’t you get the 3 day turnaround to receive the product they promise but they didn’t even point out that there was a problem with your submission in 3 days. You’ll be repeating a lot of other posts talking about not getting responses from them, etc., but the more people who repeat it and give details about it there are then the more legitimate the complaints looked compared to the 5-star “great service, I love them” reviews (which I also don’t trust).
Good point.
I was able to flag it once I signed in.
Marked as useful. By the way, I watched Yelp’s promo video and they go on and on about how wonderful their filter is… Maybe rather than trying to fix Moxicopy’s rating, it would be better to tell people to avoid Yelp?
Can you make a review of Yelp ON Yelp? Would that even MEAN anything?
Panel 3: how do you expect a one armed person to carry a heavy box?
Panel 4: Holy snap! How did a one armed person carry that heavy box?
I like how the hat has only 2 snakes, just like in the picture given.
I was wondering that myself. Maybe he’s developing Psionics to assist in daily life to make up for the lack of a limb.
on yelp: Did you see they have filtered reviews also? They use a program to somehow decide which are the trustworthy ones and they get to go on the front page and be easily visible. Most of the hidden ones are one star, with a few 5-stars, and a 4.
I saw.
Yeesss Jake, mwahahaha! Use your pawns for your own ends, mwahahahaha! Good gooooood! *wrings hands menacingly*
Oh jeebus Jake, I love how you had me asked Charles to help me carry some boxes XD Especially when he has ONE arm, hahaha…Annnnd the sad thing is, I would have probably done that in real life due to the heat of the moment/excitement ;p
That’s what I figured. But! Also! He still has two arms. One is just short. You can totally carry a light box with a full arm and a half arm.
That’s what I was gonna say…
it looks like any of the reviews before 2011 are legitimate
i think they stopped caring about there company at that point
it is just to bad that we cannot see any of the older reviews to see when it stopped being a ok company
That seems likely.
I used to work there. That’s when the guy that “really” started it left because of the owners policies.
Oh, that’s interesting.
Hey! What happened to the 2 detectives that were there to arrest Charles?
they’re still there.
It looks like your review got filtered. I can’t imagine why.
Sigh.
then the cop says, “we can’t have a party without those hats!”
She’s making the disabled man help her carry boxes? Yeesh.
