In this picture Modest looks more like an attractive young boy. Who may become an attractive guy or an attractive supervillain.
I can see that. Modest’s appearance has always been “gender neutral monkey”. I tried for a more realistic appearance here (since this is based on the famous “why not both?” meme), but she doe look a little boyish.
I was thinking maybe how she could look in a couple more years? On the other hand, she’s not exactly human, so perhaps we shouldn’t expect a gender-recognizable phenotype. (Wait…that was clear as shed snakeskin, wasn’t it?)
Her mother looked like an older teen as she aged, and the other still-humanoid hydra looked like women. But who knows?
Her hair is male so she reasonably could end up looking like a guy.
Now that I think about it, people in our world consistently gender her as female. Witness the “Is she really your daughter?” scene at that one Pokemon event. “Yeah. Yeah, she is.” I guess as long as she doesn’t go all Thulsa Doom on us, we’re good right?

Things could get interesting if her hair takes exception to her sartorial choices. I mean, we’ve seen repeatedly that she and her hair aren’t always on the same page, right?
