So I wonder what will result from this. Modest is clearly kind to her snakes, so… maybe it’ll be okay? I hope so.
I think it’s more a dominance issue than a personality issue. The dominant personality gets to live. If Modest cows to the snakes, they’ll take control. If she ensures she’s the one in charge, she’ll live.
it’l put appendage modest in nice dresses, and brag/taunt others about how nice its being while slowly consuming her conciousness in front of those who cared for her.

Point of order… Modest is in Yeld, so any snakey conversion is at it’s strongest.
As bad as it sounds, sewing the snakes eyes and mouths shut sounds like a great plan to me.
Her life is at stake. She is too simple to understand the results of letting a lifesaving medical treatment be strictly followed. (else it is useless!)
She might not have as much time left to take drastic action.
looks as if she isn´t taking the warning of her sisters too seriously….and that snake isn´t into sharing with its siblings 😉
It’s actually that snake’s name: Bites. Pronounced “b[eye]-tees”. Just looks like Bites.

He thinks he’s a boa constrictor and wants to swallow it whole.
Modest doesn’t learn too well, does she?
I could see Modest doing the heimlich maneuver when that snake chokes…wonder if you can even do the heimlich on a snake.
Actually it just now occurred to me, snakes can’t choke AND they can’t take bites.
Correct. They don’t have the right type of teeth (our chisel-like front teeth) to bite off portions of food, nor do they have molars for grinding down food into smaller parts.
They DO have fangs that can deliver venom, but also serve as one-way hooks to prevent live food from squirming back out, and incredible expansion of throat and stomach.
They’re build to swallow their food whole. That apple should pose no problem (I mean, presuming it stays in the snake-body portion of it’s length –which it should, based on how far down snakes have their stomachs and intestines– and doesn’t get swallowed into Modest’s head or something.)
Just don’t feed them after midnight…
I agree with “That other guy” sounds like a reasonable explanation.
Can’t help being nice. If you let having to dominate your snakes make you mean, the hydra wins.
