– I appreciate all the comments with concern about Nintendo suing me into oblivion. I don’t think thats going to happen. if Nintendo contacts me and asks me to stop (which they might) I of course will. Thats fine. Until then I’m going to keep telling the story I want to tell.
– I’ll be at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo this weekend (Oct 20th and 21st), and Geek Girl Con in Seattle on the 27th and 28th. I hope to see some of you there!
If you ever DO get a C&D, I’d be willing to lend one of the creatures (an electric squirrel) for the webcomic I’m working slowly to getting ready
Also, guess Thunder Shock was just to stun him a bit so Pika could get the mask off and remove the Fae’s resistance to Electric before delivering a Thunderbolt
Thanks. I actually already have something ready in the case of a C&D. But maybe we can do a crossover instead sometime.
That would be awesome if that happens. Especially as the very, very basic synopsis is that a boy gets dragged through a dimensional rift to a world with unstable dimensional boundaries
Where did we learn that the mask protects him from electricity? Or that he could only be stabbed in an existing wound?
I don’t think we ever did? Earlier this season we learned that Fairies are extremely tough, and arrows bounce off their skin. The trick is to get them in the eyes or ears (or to be a giant snake and thrash them). Its never stated, but Shut Up is stabbing the Abolisher directly in a wound from his fight with Auntie Naga, which is probably advice she got from Shin at some point.
Well I’m making an assumption on the mask protecting from electricity, considering that his face looks so messed up I am assuming the normally very difficult to get through skin is highly vulnerable there, at least in comparison to the rest of his body
The mask probably does have some kind of magical properties. I don’t think its specifically designed to protect against electricity though. but it may provide some magical protection in general.
Good, Pikachu!
Just like tackle.
Mr. Abolisher isn’t looking too good. He’s not really a fairy, is he?
I thought fairies were supposed to be super invulnerable (shoot ’em in the eyes!), and yet Mr. Abolisher gets stuck and bled by a small sword. And now with his mask off — well, dang.
He is a Fairy. He had his face burnt off at some point. As I mentioned in comments previously, Shut Up was only able to hurt him because she stabbed him directly in a wound that Auntie Naga had already inflicted. Thats a trick she learned from Shin.
If he’s a fairy, then Thunder Bolt wouldn’t be Super Effective.
Shame, Jake. Shame. Steel or Poison.
They only call themselves Fairies. They’re actually Fighting types
But Thunderbolt isn’t super effective on Fighting, either. For these, it’s Psychic or Flying.
Types don’t matter much for taking down your opponent if you are enough higher of a level…and i get the impression that there is a bit of a level difference between the 2 battlers since it looks like Pikachu either hasn’t been touched, or has been barely touched.
This is Modest’s magic though. I bet it’s super effective merely because she said it was so. She spoke the super effectiveness into existence. 😉 lol
…maybe its because I have been watching the Anime, but am I the only one that hears the ‘United States of Smash’ theme playing right now?
Are you thinking of You Say Run? Because that goes with everything. https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/you-say-run-goes-with-everything
She looks so happy. Tjis is better than her most unlikely fantasy.
i think he has bone cancer, he should get that looked at
Is nobody gonna talk about the dudes face in the fourth panel? That’s some scary shit right there. No me gusta.
Well, now we know that this Pikachu is at least level 42.
Excellent!
Too bad all four moves have been shown, otherwise she could use Iron Tail.
Got to love that thrilled look on her face in the last panel.
So, this Pikachu is at least Level 42 (or, if TMs were used, 21). That’s a clever interpretation on Feint, too. Pikachu literally removed its “Protect status.”
From one Supernerd to another, you get the big thumbs up, Jake! Heh heh.
Iron tail for a coupe de grace?
Good thing Medusa has never thought profoundly how dangerous Pokemon would be to Humans
Likes everyone else has.
