So Dragul came from our world or Coke comes from Yeld.
Dragul comes froms… *Somewhere* neithers Yeld ors our world, but probablies more likes our world than likes Yeld. >o.o< It's ins the RPG.
Pretty sure Ecksbox drank beer instead of soda…..
Or original-recipe Cocaine-Cola.
Was…. the prince from earth?

EASTER EGG
Even if he comes from our world, at least fought dem nazis!
This was from last year, and I kept thinking “Is anyone going to notice this?”
oOf
I’m pretty sure Adventure Man is from Yeld.
Thats interesting.
His helmet didn’t have the horns. It would have been more noticeable if it did.
Uh huh.
We’ve seen both the future chainsaw unicorn and Marah start growing horns over their time in Yeld. I wonder… are these really just a helmet decoration for the Prince?
This is answered in The Magical Land of Yeld book (which I know most of you haven’t seen yet). Horns are an old symbol of royalty in Yeld, adopted by the Old Kings to honor the Hunters in Darkness, which were the first and oldest of Yeld’s settlers, and the first people corrupted and turned into monsters in the magical land. So Dragul’s helmet is a symbol of his position as the ruler of Yeld. Urano, Kerrigor and the Drudge Angel’s had horns on their helmets for similar reasons. So did the Princess the one time we see her in Urano’s story.
Medusa will get her own horn hat if she ever takes the throne.
oh hecc.
In my defense I keep meaning to read Ghostkiss…. I just keep getting sidetracked by stuff and things.
I get that. I have about 50 webcomics and 100 books on my “to read” pile.
That’s it? I think my goodreads to-read is over 1.5k plus all the ones I only wrote on notes. Yours it probably within the realm of reasonable though…
I try to keep up. But that doesn’t count physical comics, articles, magazines and blogs.
Your… uh… your text is escaping the bubble as we speak. Third panel from the bottom.
Shit. How did that happen?
Carbonation, clearly.
Is Ecksbocks’ speech affected by the drink in the 9th panel or is that a graphical error? (“I’ll take it!”)
Its just an error. I missed it somehow.
I like it. It makes her seem like she’s slightly — if unintentionally(?) — intoxicated.
Wait a second. Chocodiles had no taste. WHAT WITCHERY IS THIS.
Uh huh.
Also, is Xbox’ “I’ll take it” being off position intentional, or?..
Its not. I just didn’t notice the mistake.
What is it? Not Moxie…
… I did not notice this … how did he get from punching nazis to kicking puppies?
Guess we find out.
[Obligatory “Captain America was Hydra for a while” joke]
The timeline lines up kinda weird on this:
The Coca-Cola Company/Founded January 29, 1892
German unconditional surrender on 8 May 1945.
http://ghostkiss.modestmedusa.com/comic/episode-7-03/ Unknown timing
Because Yeld Years are only 100 days, the prince could have been in Yeld for over 200 years and still have been in Adventure Man’s world during WWII.
However, Dragul has ruled Yeld for longer then that.
The options as I see them is that either:
#1: Adventure Man’s world does not line up with Fictional Jake’s in terms of time.
#2: Dragul is a time traveler
#3: Adventure Man is a time traveler
#4: Time distortion in Yeld is even more complicated than it looks
#5: Real life jake is hiding some big reveal
It is of course more complicated that all of that. Hn the Yeld RPG we mention that Dragul has traveled to hundreds (or even thousands) of realities/timelines while searching for the Arsenal of Winter, and lived hundreds of lives. He’s been in Yeld for at least 1000 years, and has visited our reality or one very like it within the frame of the 20th century.
We don’t really know anything about Adventure Mans world except apparently it had Nazis. Adventure Man claims to be an extra terrestrial, but thats probably not true. He’s probably from an alternate reality (which would still make him an alien, just not the kind of alien we usually think of.)
In panel nine, the text in the second word bubble is way off center.
Don’t know if you have it nearby, but this matches Blenheim Ginger Ale. Only the color is different, it’s a light caramel. Great stuff. Try not to inhale when you drink it.
I’ll keep my eye out for it. I like trying new sodas
Website: blenheimgingerale dot com. The page has a store locator so you can find a vendor.
Enjoy.
Hmm… looks like the closest supplier is out of town. But I’ll keep my eyes open anyway.
Well had his age wrong, figured he came to the magical world before Earth had Coke or Pepsi
Also, third to last panel, the text alignment is off
Super spicy, yet sweet.. Cheerwine perhaps?
I once heard a kid describe Coke as spicy after trying it for the first time. It seemed a little weird, but after thinking about it I got it. Coke is pretty caustic. It has a crisp, acidy bite. I think a kid (especially one with a super limited palette) might describe it as spicy.
Huh o.o
You know, I was thinking about that after I posted and came to a similar conclusion. XD
Makes sense. My nephews call sparkling water “spicy water”, although I personally find Pepsi sharper/less smooth/less sweet.
Huh. I’ve always thought of Pepsi as much sweeter. Different taste buds, I guess?
Just finished my third readthrough of the MM comics. Still can’t get over how much I love them! Really wish I had the funds to support your Kickstarter, but alas I am an ADD college student who can’t school and job at the same time, so I have no income. One day I will have money, and then I will send eggplants and chocodiles aplenty to support my favourite Hydra and her artist.
I’m glad you liek the comic. Please don’t stress not being able t support my Kickstarter. I really do understand that not everyone can.
I don’t think that’s coke. :Y
To me, the last panel looks like the drink for Medusa had some ‘extra’ in it,
eg. a drug of some kind.
So, nice gesture, with maybe evil intent behind it …
No, no! Don’t drink the awesome tasting stuff the evil magic guy offers! I’m totally getting a Witch, Lion, and Wardrobe feeling to this…
Ecksbox just got her first hit of caffeine.
IT. BEGINS.
And sugar.
