– Just to be clear, Yeld does have mirrors. But the girls have lived in a cave and then this farm most of their lives. They’ve probably never seen one. Glados probably has seen her own reflection though, since they play in the stream.

My name is mirror!
Of course, this bit about Glados’ eyes still needs to be explained. Or thoughts of cookies just makes your eyes more normal.
Its really just that Glados is almost always in a bad mood.
That, or she just has resting bad mood face. Either or.
Modest: You don’t have mirrors here? Er… hasn’t she seen her reflection in a pond or something?
Shut Up: It doesn’t work that way.
Hole: Yeah, the mermaids mess that up…
Modest: But we can find a pond without mermaids… can’t we?
Shut Up: We’ll have to show her…
Hole: *leans out over small, still pond*

These are always so great, but I never no what to say in response. But I always read them and love them.
Someday you, or an artistically-inclined fan, will have to make non-canonical comics to illustrate all these scripts.
That would be pretty funny.
Well, I only do these for fun – let my imagination out to play and then herd my imaginings onto the comments – so enjoy! And reply if you feel like it. |3 (prototype thumb up emoticon… will it work?)
I don’t think it worked.
I think you’re right. In fact, I think it’s too unreliable for use in the field… *bin* >:=(>
Medusas are just adverse to mirrors… some ancient historical event still lingers in their genetic memory…
I’m glad someone said this. I mean, I don’t think these “medusas” have stone-gaze, but… ya never know!
Has science been disillusion?
Hahahahah! But seriously… Given they don’t have mirrors, wouldn’t they look at their reflections in the river or puddles? Or even see their reflections in the glass in the windows (assuming the windows have glass)?
yes, they probably have actually seen their reflections at some point.
They’d probably think that a mirror was a portal.
So would glados full name be Genetic Lifeform and disk operating system?
Maybe, but I don’t think SHE’D know that.
“dumb as sticks”
Couldn’t they atleast see their reflection in a body of water, or anything else that reflects?
Yeah. They likely have seen their reflections before.
to be FAIR, with SOOOOO MANY of them around they probably assumed those “reflections” were just one of the other sisters.
… and, suddenly, I’m reminded of the story of Narcissus and his reflection.
Of course, it’d be something much cuter, with the girls…
“Guys! There’s another Medusa, in the lake!”
“For real! She was all smiley and waved at me when I waved! But, she was under the water!”
“Where is she, now, then?”
“Um… I don’t know. When I went in to play with her, she got scared and swam away? I think she’s really shy…”
“And, I think you’re really a liar.”
[and, so on]
Just like that.
In-comic Jake could get rich importing mirrors and such into Yeld.
i don’t know if any of you are girl genus fans or not but the medusa girls remind me of yagers but cuter and less likely to tear your limbs off if you have a cool hat
I can totally see that.
does that mean that you will be willing to make a Dimo (one of the three main jagers the green one) costume for modest please
I never thought about that, but maybe.
