– Hi everyone. I’d like to mention that you can support my work on Patreon or Ko-fi (or by ordering stuff from my store). I’m sure you won’t be surprised to find that I don’t make much. Since the pandemic money has been especially tight, and I’ve had to spend more and more time on freelance work and commissions to pay the bills. Which means less time making comics and art for you all to enjoy. Recently things have improved a little due to several very generous readers, but I could still use your support. If you can spare a small monthly contribution through Patreon or a tip through Ko-fi I’d really appreciate. Your support directly help finance both my comics work and pay my living expenses!
Pajama magic! Now that’s a winner
I mean, she totally should have expected her lie to be immediately exposed.
Nice of her to give Modest jam jams! )) …now the question is, where did Modest’s real clothes go?
Jam-merspace.
Perfect.
And there was much celebrating.
“Yay!”
I choose to believe that Jenny really meant to say “snaps” instead of it being a typo of “snap”, similar to her referring to her pajamas as “jam jams”. That’s adorable.
I was thinking about Jenny magicking her eye back. But then I though about how she looked cool in an eyepatch. Then I thought about her making the eyepatch a magic item so she had an excuse to keep wearing it. Then I wondered what sort of magic it could do. Then I thought about those glasses that colorblind people wear to see color.
So, do mermaids see color the way humans do? Do they have the same color spectrum? Blue light penetrates farther into water, are they sensitive to that? But light only goes about twenty meters deep. So, do mermaids see without light?
I think Mermaids probably have both much better vision than humans and also have a somewhat different visual spectrum. I think they’re black eyes help them see in deep darkness.
As a side note, Jenny’s magic that she uses to change her clothes is a really specific spell that JUST creates clothes. Same with the spell that gives her legs. She couldn’t use either to restore her eye, or even create an illusion that her eye was still intact.
Ah! Here’s where Modest learned to clap the clothing spell, which produced all those cosplay moments we’ve seen over the years.
Secret origin
Now I want fishy jam jams.
