– Hi everyone. I’d like to mention that you can support my work on Patreon or Ko-fi (or by ordering stuff from my store). I’m sure you won’t be surprised to find that I don’t make much. Since the pandemic money has been especially tight, and I’ve had to spend more and more time on freelance work and commissions to pay the bills. I feel like I made a reference to “Where it’s at” years ago, but now I can’t find it.
You have to keep the nature of the teacher and the student in mind when you teach something potentially dangerous. Mermaids probably have little to no fear of fire. It’s simply not that dangerous to them most of the time.
In Xanth, mermaids and dragons play “Fire, water, sand” instead of “Rock, paper, scissors”, but the rules are swapped. To a mermaid, water beats fire. To a dragon, fire beats water.
This can cause trouble.
