Hi everyone. This is a a poor time to take a break, but I’ve had an emergency and need to step away for about 2 weeks. To be clear, I am 100% fine. Everything is okay. Don’t worry.
Here’s what happened. I was planning to travel to Columbus, OH for a convention next week (we’re taking Yeld to Origins Game Festival), and some complications around that have extended the trip by several days in either direction. I thought about canceling, but unfortunately its too late for that. Money is already spent, and I can’t get a refund. So I’ll be out of town starting tomorrow (!) and until around the 26th. I’ll probably post the next strip on the 30th (or maybe the 27th, depending on when I get back). Its a big one. I’ve already been working on it for a few days.
I know this is a crappy spot to take a break. And it wasn’t my plan. Sorry, everyone.

Do what you need to do. I assume you know what the sunk cost fallacy is, and this is not that. (This is not a question. Either you know, or you’re probably about to find out. On the off chance this IS somehow that, at least awareness means you can put this sort of thing in check in the future, if not the present.
If someone has taken advantage of your need to be somewhere somewhen, such as a shady hotel, I figure everyone will know as soon as you no longer need to be AT said shady hotel.
I have been waiting for around half a year now for another artist whose work I follow to post new content. Different medium than yours. Some of us readers are more patient than average. 🙂
