i´m for licking things – left top sounds like something my dentist would say.
also, i´m totally looking forward to meet the other 3 – and find out why one of them is such a prick
Ah, I’m really liking this naming convention. It’s an easy way to keep track of which character is which snake. I guess RT will not be getting kisses any time soon? XD
It’s still bothering me how Xbox claims becoming a snake made her “feel like [she] finally became [her]”, yet she’s not a snake in her head. Is she perhaps lying to herself a bit?
You really can’t. They all just look like 6 year old monkeys. I was going to do them as naked little boys (shown from the waist up), and have a wiener joke, but I decided against it.
Don’t most 6 year olds resemble monkeys? I find at that age sex is indistinguishable if kids have the same haircuts and don’t discuss stereotypically gender-typed activities/likes/dislikes. I have a 9 year old who decided to get a fauxhawk, and we are both enjoying the confusion from strangers that results in it—especially if the kid decides to dress in “androgynous” attire.
Hi Jake,
Long time reader here, although I went missing for some years and just got back and up to date.
I have a question:
– Can the little snakes change their position on the hydra’s body? I ask this after seeing the scene in the barn where they are sleeping and the little ones are evenly spaced (tip: you can say its magic, it’s ok).
Also, Naga’s speech balloons aren’t black in the there-and-back-again-part-167 strip.
Welcome back. Thats a good question. The truth is that I’m just bad at consistency. A hydra’s smaller heads (the little snakes) are in fixed positions.
Kind of off topic of the strip but since the Modest in the top-left corner of the screen looks like a teenage version of Modest, my head-canon is that shes re-reading the comic with us and D’awwwing at young Modest’s shenanigans
calling it right now. The snake that’s causing problems will look different than the other three. My bet is the troublemaker ends up looking like the Prince.
Then again, maybe they just have different eyes and hair only.
Ah-ha, so that’s which one he is.
I wonder if Sneaky’s going to introduce himself as Sneaky when they meet him.
LT – it could stand for left top or it could stand for licking things.
Turn off your phone. Don’t go anywhere.

Or the left trigger button on a video game controller.
Is LT the one who ate poop in the beginning of the strip?
That was the opposite snake. RT.
So…
LT – Lieutenant
RT – Retweet
LB – ?? (or LL – Lilo or Lil’)
RB – Reboot? (or RL – Real or Reely?)
LT – Lieutenant
RT – Retweet
LB – Limit Break
RB – Arby’s

probably not.

She may be.
It might have something to do with the spell that’s allowing her to enter Modest’s mind.
Oh god – now we little boy snakes in the form of little female hydras. That’s not gonna set off any flags at all.
Are they in the form of female hydras? How can you tell?

Drawing a six year old’s penis in a comic strip – what could go wrong?
I know, right.

Uh huh.
Well that’s just adorable…

Just that, love your comic, keep it going.

Lieutenant!
Lieutenant, you were given specific orders.

Thats a fun idea.

Ok, I’m confused.
Jake snaps fingers *no bonus picture* NOOOOOOO
I can’t wait to meet the one that always eats her stuff and gets her in trouble.
