– Sorry that this strip is a little late. I’ve been dealing with a new medication that makes me pretty ill, so work has ground to a halt. Hopefully Monday’s strip will be on time.
– Some of you had asked if I’d be posting Modest Medusa on Webtoon. Well, I’ve started posting Modest Medusa on Webtoon. You can read the series starting from the beginning there as well, if you’re interested!
– Starting next week (probably on Monday) I’ll be selling some original art through the Modest Medusa store. I’ve done this in the past through ebay, but from now on I’ll strictly be offering art through my own store. Expect to see a few new illustrations on offer every month for reasonable prices!

No, Modest, that’s not what they mean by “put your heads together”
Short range telepathy. The brains have to be within thunk range of each other for the thoughts to get through.
Huh? Do the snakes not want her to learn this?
It would make sense for the smart snake to protect its place on Modest’s head. A dumb Modest is one who will need the smart one’s guidance. By keeping her dependent, the smart snake will be able to dictate more of Modest’s actions in life.
Except the smart snake is Modest, the same way the sneaky snake is also Modest. In many ways the snakes are just another set of limbs only with some stored mental facilities to allow for some unconscious actions. I know I’m going by Glados’s claims, but I think she’s right. The snakes are more like different thoughts like survival, desires, and reflection of emotions. Being able to make one of these actions more conscious is not going to make it wither away, at least not with an Oracle Medusa.
If adult females, like Ekqsbox and Auntie retain their personality from before the transformation, and Modest’s head squishes so easily, and with so little discomfort, she is probably like an octopus, with little brains for each snake.
The scatterbrained “main Medusa” is probably an emergent property, like a human personality isn’t really centered in any lobe, but comes from them working together.
I think she closed her eyes to focus, and the snake is annoyed at her for that.

I think the snake is telling her she needs to focus with her eyes open, looking at the words on the page. Who knew having so many brains would be so hard?
Maybe it was upset because Modest appearred to fall asleep at a very important moment. Thunking her awake would have seemed the right thing to do.
