A giant beetle has come to live in my bedroom this week. It spends all of its time crawling aimlessly across my ceiling. I think its looking for a way out.
– Hi everyone. I’d like to mention that you can support my work on Patreon or Ko-fi (or by ordering stuff from my store). I’m sure you won’t be surprised to find that I don’t make much. Since the pandemic money has been especially tight, and I’ve had to spend more and more time on freelance work and commissions to pay the bills. Which means less time making comics and art for you all to enjoy. Recently things have improved a little due to several very generous readers, but I could still use your support. If you can spare a small monthly contribution through Patreon or a tip through Ko-fi I’d really appreciate. Your support directly help finance both my comics work and pay my living expenses!
Aw. Modest has a pose for showering x) and this reminds me of how my cat comes to beg for food after she throws up…
You’re not going to help the beetle find its way out? Like, get it to sit on a piece of paper, or put a box over it and slide a piece of paper under the box to cover the bottom…
I might. I want to see what its up to. if it really seems like it needs help I’ll help it out.
I deal with beatles and other stuff with help of spiders.
Our good neighbors.
Same. Nature will sort everything out when it is hungry. Also spiders need to.stay outside or in the far corners of the ceiling where we can’t hurt each other.
I had a bug problem in my old apartment, so I cultivated spiders to take care of it. They were good housemates!
Yeah we have quite a few of the small spiders that go around my area. (Apartments in a more rural area) honestly say I don’t have much of a fly or mosquito problem. And ny landlords will evict any tenant that brings in bedbugs or other super pests. They are given a week to get the place treated for or risk eviction and having to pay for every unit that gets infected because of them
Bit harsh some would say. But then again I’ve lived in places that were bad with roaches and bedbugs. Absolute nightmare
And now I’m imagining John, Paul, George and Ringo all stuck in a web… (I try not to make fun of typos, but some are just too good to pass up.)
Are you sure it’s not a visitor from a magical land?
Who knows?
Well, at least a beetle shouldn’t be able to drag a human through a portal.
…hopefully.
Its a pretty big beetle.
It was also joined this week by a GIANT SPIDER
Ok now I’m curious about the logistics of her showering. Does she need shampoo and conditioner? Probably not. Does she use soap? Hopefully yes. Does she perspire? I doubt it – That’s a trick that only a few mammals have figured out.
She does need shampoo and conditioner! Most of her hair is “regular” hair. The snakes grow out of her head but are surrounded by hair. Whether she actually uses it, or soap, is another matter. We know she’s stinky.
