– A little late. I had a very busy weekend and my Monday was hectic too, so this strip didn’t get finished until… well… now. 3am on Tuesday morning! Thanks for your patience!
We’re happy to announce Yeldplay!, an ongoing Yeld TTRPG actual play podcast. The first episode is available now! The podcast is run by Emmavoid and Arcin, who have been handling the Yeld twitter for a few years now and features music from Twinkle Park. New episodes (along with new illustrations by me) will be posted every other week.
Better question, why didn’t it occur to you TRY pulling? Forget it, just go get Jake and the mermaid.
Yeah, that wouldn’t fly in Germany. đŸ˜€
“A company may be prohibited with immediate effect from employing workers in offices in which escape doors do not open in the direction of escape.”
Emergency Exit doors have to open towards the outside. Makes sense, if there’s a crowd of people in a panic wanting to get out they can’t organise to make enough room for the door to be opened.
Good that they got out, let’s see how they rescue Ha Yoon!
Building codes in the US have similar rules for theaters, restaurants and other public buildings. These were passed after the notorious Cocoanut Grove nightclub fire killed nearly 500 people.
It had a pull type handle.
“How was I supposed to know it was a pull?”
Maybe because there was a handle that was clearly made for pulling? lol Dumb kid.
While the door IS a classic Norman door, the ‘dumb kid’ has mixed up push and pull. The door clearly needs to be pushed to open, even though the handle from underneath makes it look like it should be pulled to open. He pulled and thought that was called ‘pushing’.
Let’s give him the benefit of the doubt and go with ‘dyslexia’.
Umm, by looking at the door handle, which is a pull handle?
The pull handle was on the outside though? How’d they get it open?
They’re referring to the door in the second panel.
Thank you! I was genuinely confused.
I guess I should have shown them opening the door, going into the hall, discovering more rooms and an emergency exit ladder and climbing up the ladder. But this sequence was already going on a lot longer than I meant it to.
