Hi everyone. Sorry for the delay. I suddenly got very sick early Friday morning, and ended up staying home all day. Food poisoning, I think. I’m mostly over it this morning, so I’m back at work and managed to finish the lettering for this extra sized strip.
I’m not sure we’ve seen Goblins in Modest Medusa? Yeld’s Goblins aren’t from Yeld either. They’re alien explorers that have colonized Yeld’s moon and use have outposts on teh surface of Yeld themselves for unknown purposes. Each Goblin is a clone with a set life span. They’re most famous for their Math Magic, which is just math. They keep their advanced technology to themselves, and never take of the masks they need to breathe Yeld’s atmosphere. No one really knows what they look like!
Goblins! Yay!
Also yay for standardization or the battery would probably have a slightly different voltage than required.
I’m willing to bet that Goblins and Pi Rats do NOT get along.
Where did Marah get the magic item thingy? I don’t remember if we ever saw her pick it up.
From Captain Jaspar way back in Season 7. he gave it to her to use as a light when they were exploring the Tower of Autumn. She got all excited because it was a real life magic item. She used it again earlier this season when she was passing through the cave on the way to the farm.

I wonder if it’s a rice cooker? Just turn it on and 27 minutes later? Rice! You don’t even have to add rice or water. (Well, maybe add the water?)
I’m trying to remember if Marah had a smartphone. I didn’t when I started reading this comic.
She wasn’t shown with one originally (in Season 1 they use a phone with a CORD!), although I think in the recent flashback strips from the Season 5 book she has one. She certainly could have had one in 2011.

Yes we do. It’s called video andtelevision
Zoom and lots of other video call programs work for transmitting vision and sound simultaneously.
We have TV, that would count. Now, if you mean bidirectional communication, Skype, Google Meet, Teams, Jitsi, Slack, Whatsapp … plenty of programs with video chat today.
Cool. I’ve been waiting to see goblins in the comic. Or even just their stuff.
