Hahaha, Here’s hoping that it doesn’t just suck her up too. Also just now noticed that Modest doesn’t have actual eyebrows.
She doesn’t! She has eyebrow ridges, but no hair. Same with Jenny and the Mermaids. I think of it as a feature of their aquatic nature, but as far as I can tell aquatic mammals have eyebrows. So IDK how accurate that is. Maybe mermaids are getting gunk in their eyes every time they swim?
Superheroes?
Its been mentioned a few times although never directly shown in this comic that there are superheroes in this world. My other comic Ghost Kiss also takes place in the same version of Portland. Several characters from Modest Medusa have appeared in Ghost Kiss, including Modest’s entire class.

Well, Ms. Kohli is pretty freaked out. She probably knows the police can’t do much of anything. But her first priority is keeping the kids safe, and that includes not letting one of them fight a big monster.
Wait, what? Is Yeld is in the same universe as Ghost Kiss? I didn’t know that.
It is. Theres been a few mentions of superheroes in Modest Medusa, but there are several references to MM in Ghost Kiss. You can also find ties to Ghost kiss in the Yeld RPG.

Its not. Its been mentioned a few times, although in ways that are easy to miss. There’s also several MM characters that have shown up in Ghost Kiss.
So wait do they have superheroes on call?
They do. Portland has two on duty superheroes, Adventure Man and Ghost Kiss.
It’d be funny if kicking it made it bounce around like a beach ball.
