– Modest used to make fun of Jake like this, but she hasn’t done it for awhile.
– My arm is slowly healing. I’ve gotten to the point where I can draw fairly well with it, but only in very short bursts. The pain is real. I’m seeing a physical therapist and she says that all that pain is from the muscles, and the more I use them the more quickly it will heal. But she stressed I shouldn’t expect to do much drawing with my right hand since those are the exact muscles that have been damaged. She suggested that I try to draw, but limit it to about a half hour at a time, just once or twice a day. So thats something! In the meantime I have a bunch of arm and hand exercises to do. But overall healing seems to be going well. Thank you all for your patience and support!
– Hi everyone. I’d like to mention that you can support my work on Patreon or Ko-fi (or by ordering stuff from my store). I’m sure you won’t be surprised to find that I don’t make much. Since the pandemic money has been especially tight, and I’ve had to spend more and more time on freelance work and commissions to pay the bills. Which means less time making comics and art for you all to enjoy. Recently things have improved a little due to several very generous readers, but I could still use your support. If you can spare a small monthly contribution through Patreon or a tip through Ko-fi I’d really appreciate. Your support directly help finance both my comics work and pay my living expenses!
How have you been man? Haven’t talked to you in forever!
Hi. I’m okay. Broken arm, but getting over it. Still make this comic. How are you? Haven’t seen you here in awhile.
1) Too soon.
2) Delivery.
3) If you pull back and it’s either Jake or one of the snakes working a puppet, it will be funny.
Good to hear the healing is going well.
Oh no, the Mane Snake Committee is far from pleased with thee.
At least Modest isn’t poking Jake’s arm for fun… this time.
Heh. Not too long ago I ended up overworking my hand drawing 15 A4 pictures within a short span of time, and then for months I could only draw for about 25 minutes before my hand would start to pain. A completely different injury, yet the end result is pretty much the same.
…well, except in my case, it probably would have been better to just rest, but I’d get severe withdrawal if I don’t draw for that long, y’know?
You certainly do. I’m in the “this doesn’t hurt THAT BAD, I’ll keep going” phase.
Do be careful and make sure to rest your hand whenever it needs rest! Your lines will get wobblier if you keep drawing past your hand’s limits.
“It has to hurt if it’s to heal.”
-that one character in…Neverending Story, IIRC
I’ll be honest, that got a slight ironic chuckle out of me.
But seriously, glad to hear that you’re healing steadily well. I’m familiar with broken arms and definitely takes longer than one would like to get it back to normal operation. Be careful my dude!
Pretty funny, if I’m being honest.
