Since a lot of you were wondering about horns, I read and watched some stuff. Apparently it varies between different types of animals, but for bovine animals the horn removal process (or just having a horn broken) is extremely painful, and can be very bloody. i guess part of teh reason of horns are connected directly to the animals sinus, and in some species the sinus actually extends INTO the horn??? Very strange? Anyway, yes it is painful, and yes it is bloody. Poor Marah.
From what I’ve read the ends of the horns are pretty much just dead material, and can be cut off or trimmed with no real discomfort. I saw several videos of that as well.
Anyway, sorry for missing a strip on Friday. I was (again) really sick this week. Still getting over it, but I think I’ll be fine by tomorrow.

Ouch. That was not very professional.
“You know what’s good for that” – mushrooms?
Get well soon!
What’s good for blood loss? First aid? A cup of tea? Or maybe…
Mushrooms? 😺
What’s good for that? Does it start with “mushroo”?
I love it when you’re having fun, Jake!
And no, not getting tired of this. Not a single bit.
“What’s good for that?”
Oh, oh, I know. A mushroom?
‘Well, you know what’s good for that?’ – Going out on a limb here, but might it be… mushrooms?
Is it mushrooms?
I have concerns.
I believe mushrooms are highly powerful and useful magical items.
…because there is no way in hell people would come into this slaughterhouse willingly without the mushrooms doing all the work. They have to use the mushrooms as a crutch to even make the rest of this feasible.
When I first saw the mushroom+horn thing, I was skeptical.
I’ve changed my mind, this is great, chaotic, and really funny.
Trust me. I am a certified real fake-doctor.
Ouch… Marah probably shoulda warned her about that before she started sawing….
Well, I guess we know now that Marah is not a rhinoceros!
Head wounds bleed like a sumbish.
Heh heh, I remember when my grandma sawed off my first horn
Well, guess that answers the question yesterday of if Yeld horns are like Earth horns
Is there such a concept as a medical malpractice suit in Yeld? o_o
Ha. I doubt it. I think maybe if you’re rich enough you go to the local magistrate, and they eat the doctor.
I hope Marah gets it as a souvenir or something and makes it one of those drinking horns, like the Vikings use.
Ohh. That’s an interesting idea.
Odd that the other horn didn’t bleed when it broke off at nearly the same point that this one was sawed off at.
Also, this is way too much like going to a new dentist, it causes flashbacks. I’d say that roughly 1/3 of dentists are this level of screwball and are only able to stay in business because people expect going to the dentist to be a bad experience.
Dentists always have props and assistants to distract you.
