– I was having trouble with the new page, so I decided to work on it over the weekend and post on Monday instead. In the meantime, here’s some filler. This is obviously out of sequence.
– Part of the reason I didn’t get much done is because I learned the Hostess is going out of business and will be discontinuing Chocodiles. I started a facebook group called Save Chocodiles in the hope that if enough people post about how much they love Chocodiles and share their Chocodile, stories, photos and fan fiction that maybe some other company would take notice and purchase the trademark from Hostess. Yes, I know that’s not likely, but I think it will be fun anyway. Check out the page and request an invitation!

I have an update on the news- The people on strike didn’t return to work yesterday; probably trying to call their bluff on the threat of closure. As of today, Hostess is filing a motion with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court to liquidate the entire Company.
Hostess is now gone.

I swear I was in College before I know there was a real official version of the song. It was just something we all knew as kids.
OK, so being obsessive I looked it up. There are like 12 different versions on line, but the “more official looking ones have it as fee-fi-mo. Meh, it just doesn’t sound right.
Um I always heard it fee-fi-mo, you already said f you see.

Hey, Hostess is selling their assets, so um, clearly you should start another Kickstarter to raise enough funds to buy the Chocodile brand and make ’em yourself! Clearly this is a foolproof plan that is not a fool’s errand! Maybe. There’s something about fools in there, I think.

I don’t even know if I can get them any more. The ones currently in stores are very probably the last ones available ever!
I fell bad for MM and others that enjoy the Hostess brand snacks.
Now the question is how many people are going to sell them or buy them on the internet.
That song never worked for me regardless unless i used my second middle name.
The problem with Chocodiles is they don’t last very long, so you can’t really save them. They start to go stale after about 6 weeks. and they only last about a month in the freezer before getting brittle. So get them while you can.
Jake I JUST HAD AN AWESOME IDEA For the end of Season 3. Jake has a few hundred Medusa to take care of whats he going to do? He says he has an idea. Cue a Hostess strike line in the first panel. Jake in the second panel with a line of Medusae in Baker uniforms. Hostess is saved by it’s new employees who get paid in only Chocodiles. Of course they’re still impossible to find on the east coast because the east coast shipments are the payment for the Medusae.
Also is it ironic in “The medusa is not your friend” dream strip you were Dreaming about your favorite hard to find drink? because finding it is only a dream for you?
I actually found a shop in my neighborhood that sells Arizona Lemon Iced Tea. “Ethnic drink” my ass! Stupid racist distributor!
Jake you have my sympathy. Turns out it didn’t take a Zombie apocalypse to shut down Hostess after all.
Wow. When kids watch that movie in the future they won’t know what a twinkie is!
I heard a lot of flak about this on ThatGuyWithTheGlasses…. but no facts..
Since I don’t know what is going, to quote:

The short of it is that Hostess employees went on strike (I don’t know the exact details), the company decided not to meet their demands, and was forced to liquidate. Whether or not it will be sold whole or as pieces is unknown. Most people seem to think that the high profile products like Twinkies and Wonder Bread will be easy to offload, but that more obscure properties like Chocodiles might go without a buyer or be bought as part of a package deal. Either way there’s a chance that Chocodiles could vanish forever. Of course, there’s also a chance that the property could be snatched up and that we may see Chocodiles return to the National market. Sadly, a bunch of people are out of jobs because of all this.
¡Ay, no, Medusa’s going to have to switch to Gansitos!
Maybe the producers of American Dad would help with the “Save Chocodiles” campaign. You and they are the pop culture references on the Chocodiles Wikipedia page.
I happened to see Chocodiles in the Vegas Strip Wallgreens today. Thought of the comic and purchased one.
I used to do that all the time when I was a kid. 🙂

Yeah, people are always really weird about it. Or completely normal, I guess. Some kid will wander up to the booth and look at stuff and I’ll offer him/her a Chocodiles. All the sudden his/her parents appear out of nowhere, all polite and wary and nervous. We chat for a few minutes until they decide that I’m not trying to poison their child. Sometimes they don’t come to that conclusion and make up some kind of excuse about their kid not liking sweet things.
