     It is her heritage.
     Do you think it is like dressing up as the kind of ethnic stereotype that offends people? Modest should be even more careful, given that she looks like her mom, and even Shen was surprised when she told him who her dad was.
     I hope it’s not offensive to Yeld’s vampire population, it’s awesome and cute.

       Almost certainly this costume would be unrecognizable to any Yeld vampire. Especially the bat wings.
