Normally, anywhere else, I’d say “Oi! You shoulda actually filled those in with context, as it could’ve possibly added more substance to the arguement, and/or given us a better view on each of the sides in the arguement, allowing us to maybe take a side ourselves on the best course of action.” BUT! And I mean this, I honestly think this is better. Because sometimes, who gives a crap. Further, given that the focus of the page is Modest and “Murder Horse”, odds are they aren’t paying any attention to the arguement anyway.
I think it makes makes the joke for the page. I like to think that the “punchline” of a comic doesn’t ALWAYS have to be in the last panel! I rather like the constant “argue” going on during the page.
Agreed – I saw the “argue balloons” in the same way I hear the Charlie Brown Teacher voice. 😀 Content doesn’t matter, it’s just the context for the scene and can actually take away from the scene itself unless you play it this way. Well done!

Oh, for the first few moments I thought the people in the background were chanting for Medusa and the Knight to argue. But I eventually realized it was just referencing the arguing from the last strip. 😛
Clearly very very wrong! =3=
Hell I put my comment up and I saw no comments at all, come back a day later, boop, two folks before me. The internet ain’t fair. T-T
I like the argue balloons most because it makes it seem like everyone else is just saying argue. Like when on a show smeone goes up to their friend ear “whisper whisper whisper” and their frien replies “Will you stop saying whisper and tell me?!”
Hey Jake has Jake considered the ramifications of raising a dozen Medusas and can accept that or is he in just full on punch a horse papa wolf mode? Also I hope CMH Isn’t expecting an apology from marah for running a car into him.
It took me a while to realize that the “Argue!” bubbles were just there to represent arguing in the background and not a crowd of people gathered around trying to egg them on by shouting “Argue!” like mobs do when they shout “Fight!” at a scrap. Was a bit disorienting, but now that I know what’s up it works well enough.
Awwwww, how sweet.
Also, happy birthday, Jake’s mom! Thank you for having Jake, so that he can draw and make stories that entertain us!
=D
Chainsaw Unicorn is bound to Dracul and Gorgon aka the Royal Family. Modest is the royal family so she’s unbound it.
Argue! 😀

Also, d’aww murder hug.
…. Argue.
I almost didn’t even add the “argue” balloons, but then I realized it might not be clear what was happening.

Good work, dood!

The truth is, you’ve already been over what they’re arguing about, anyway. We know both sides. Thanks for sparing us (and yourself) the tedium!
ROFLMAO Modest is awesome ! xD
Shouldn’t Jake and Marah look a little more freaked out?
Modest must have rolled a natural 20 on a Save Vs Diplomacy.
Hugs. They’re magic.
Hugs can fix pretty much anything. =D
Mind meld?
Ok, this one is super cute 🙂 Jake can make here facial expressions work really well, great job Jake.
That was adorable!!!

FINALLY! Someone let the murder pony talk!
That’s brilliant. All chainsaw unicorn needed was a hug!
Happy Birthday to your mum! 😀
Third panel…
Squee!

Let’s see how wrong I can be about first to comment.
Sorry.

Looks like he whispered something to her. I wonder what he said…
the Happy Birthday Mom makes this comic even funnier
I wish those “Argue” bubbles were filled.
Happy Birthday Jake’s Mom~! I hope he becomes a rich and famous guy because he’s an awesome artist and writer! *huggles*

Awwwww! Such a nice moment in the middle of an argument.
HAPPY Birthday JAKE’S MOM! 😀
