Here’s something I know you’ll like! Modest Medusa reader Katherine Shane sent me photos of this amazing diorama she created using the resin Medusa miniatures from 2019’s Modest Medusa Miniatures Kickstarter. Holy crap, this is cool! Take a close look and you’ll see that the medusa sisters are enjoying a game of the Yeld RPG, complete with dice, character sheets (with tiny Medusa portraits), a rule book and (of course) a box of Chocodiles! You’ll also see a tree with a swing, a gaming table and cushioned seats and the ubiquitous door to Yeld! Katherine constructed and painted the diorama by hand, and its just great! Wait, is there a multiverse here? Beyond just Earth and Yeld I mean. Interesting.
Yes, the main Earth is semi-officially designated Y1 with Yeld as Y0 or Yprime

hey wait! That’s what happened to the Knight of Chains, isn’t it? He didn’t go back to his world, but he did go into a world that was “familiar”, but he rejected it and stayed in Yeld, like what Marah does? I think?
Great question. While that is a nice ethical quandary, that exceedingly specific scenario seems like it is a bit too specific for her to figure out with just a magic hand wave and some pretty lights. I assume she is being metaphorical about the changeling family scenario, and she just means “you can probably find a world that looks enough like your old one that it would be familiar”.
Yeah. Its not clear if she’s suggesting slipping into a familiar world, finding a world where alt-Marah is already missing or trying to take alt-Marah’s place.
That diorama is adorable.
