Well, she took the sword, but the curse means nothing to her. It was a curse on him, not her.

Does this mean that the sword is inside her now?
The sword on her hip looks like a normal sword.
Maybe the sword can shapeshift?
Maybe her sword is from another world and will talk to her and give her bad advice and cause all sorts of Anime type problems.
