A bunch of you asked about Modest’s eyes in the last strip. I do her eyes on a separate later. I accidentally tuned off that layer and didn’t notice. I did notice after I posted it and went back to fix it, which is why the correct version was posted in other places. Here, I forgot to hit “update” after uploading the correction, so the wrong version remained up all day today. Its obviously been fixed now.
Sometimes when an error like this happens there’s a lot of posts about it. It LOOKS like a dozen of you are all pointing out the same error, and sometimes later readers wonder why you did that. Why point out an error if someone in the comments already mentioned it? Well, that’s not what actually happens. Some of you already know this, but comments don’t get posted until I approve them. I do this so I don’t miss any comments, and also to delete the rare spam or negative comment about another poster. So in this case all those comments were made before any of them were actually posted, so none of the commenters were able to look at the posts and see that someone else had already noticed the error, because there weren’t yet any posts to see.
As a side note, if you’re enjoying the comic please consider supporting my Patreon. Money is tight right now. Things are getting more expensive, and my income is pretty slim. If you can spare a dollar or two every month I’d really appreciate it. You can check out my Patreon here.

Does that mean Modest is allowed to listen now?
Ahhh. Hence the jealousy.
whos alex
Oh no, I meant Sammy! I need to change it.
Oh. And here I thought it was someone we haven’t seen yet.
Yeah, it could have been. Modest also has a few unnamed classmates who we have seen before
So is there, like… a bathroom in every bedroom in your house?
Jake in the next room can hear you!
Is nobody wondering how being friends with someone would work if they can’t understand what you say and can’t read your face and you don’t have any arms to gesture with?
It seems like a challenge.
Should Gene’s statement be a question, or were they stating that Ekans could hear them on purpose?
It should have been a question.
