The Mushroomancer really should’ve told Marah the price before… everything. This is just mean.
The Mushroomancer is just generally bad at communication in every way.
She’s great at communicating with mushrooms.

That’s another life lesson. Always be sure of the cost before you ask for the service. Marah is learning all kinds of important things today.
This feels like the kind of question Marah should have asked at the beginning. Then maybe do a few side quests to build up some bank.
“Tons of coins” isn’t a set amount.

The joke here (maybe you know this, I can’t remember) is in the Yeld game money comes in 4 specific amounts of coins: None, Some, Lots and Tons.

Reminds me of a UserFriendly comic, where the sales-guy praises himself for scoring a contract with a very vague definition of what the software department has to deliver, when one of the developers points out that it also has a very vague definition of what the customer has to pay: IIRC it was several bags of money.
