Good question. Superhero stuff has only existed in this world for about 15 years. Thats long enough for it to be normalized, of course, but big events like Jake is describing make the news and still feel weird.
Considering these are events that only happened in the past few years as opposed to seeing them throughout childhood, probably.
And that Chainsaw Unicorn? And a guy made out of bugs… it’s a pretty long list, isn’t it?
Well, Jake didn’t mention the chainsaw unicorn because it wasn’t public knowledge. And he may not know about the Toothfacer at all.
