Sorry for the late update. I’ve been busy all day and just couldn’t get to a computer.
how long before she realizes she needs to breath
Longer than it will take for Greenie to realize she needs not to be stabbed.
I figure Marah’s got a good 30 seconds of air to try and make that happen before she needs to prioritize air.
Choking a mermaid underwater. Interesting tactic. the mermaids are going to be fine this isnt a series known for it’s bloodshed and brutality.
Um… did you not see… THE CHAINSAW UNICORN bit???!!!!
Chainsaw Unicorn! (my hero–isn’t he dreeeeeeeeeeeeamy?)
That didn’t exactly stop a certain unicorn from sawing Charles’s arm off…
Im sorry if my sarcasm was a bit obtuse.
Another argument for some sort of [sarcasm]tag[/sarcasm].
If it work with choking human on the land, it sure does work with choking mermaid under water, right?
Good point! Of course bashing her with a sword works too…
(But the sword isn’t real? Or not sharp anyhow.)
(Also? It’s a cutlass…)
Whether or not you can choke a mermaid underwater kind of depends where the gills are; I actually don’t see any. We’ve seen her above-ground, breathing air, so perhaps her lungs are just internally capable of separating oxygen from either air OR water without needing any additional external breathing organs; meaning she breathes water though her mouth and nose just like a human does with air (as does she, apparently).
That being said, cutting off oxygen might take more than a minute to render someone unconscious, but if you can firmly squeeze the right spots to shut off the carotid arteries on both sides of the neck, stopping bloodflow to the brain, you can make a person black out a lot faster. (And if you’re looking for that spot on your own neck right now, Hint: if it really hurts, you’re close; your body is telling you not to do that!)
Admittedly it’s not that easy to do, and probably requires more grip strength than a 12 year old girl has. There’s a lot of resistance.
I also note that my fingers aren’t long enough to reach both my carotids with one hand from the front; I can almost but not quite reach both from the back.
…And I’ve spent far too much time thinking about this for 3:15AM… >_>
I love the looks of shock in the last panel. Then snake hair, being all snake hair like. Go go Marah!
she may be a psycho, but she is medusa’s psycho. don’t mess with marah!
Oh. Hell. Yeah.
Get ’em, Marah!
Dropped yer sig, fish!
Now all I can think about is “Mermaider.”
MM and the other mermaid are both in shock over the Marahs climb tree then jump out of it and try to choke a mermaid under water quick made plan not thought about. is it me or is Marahs hand a bit lower then the throat or is it a illusion because i only see the thumb or one finger of sorts.
It is. Bad drawing, I guess.
You could always claim she’s grabbing the mermaid’s boob. Not sure whether the real live Marah would approve to be depicted in such an act, though.
If these mermaids have gills as well as human lungs, then choking them underwater, and covering those gills will work just fine. Go Marah!
…Says the Siren stealing the Medusa girl.
yeah!.. What a bitch! 😀
This is why I always use the sniper rifle instead of the Katana when I play Fallout
Mermaid, “Shit, my cigarette!”
Now THAT was funny–and probably true (as it is a plastic sword after all).
Serious tactical flaw spotted. Mermaids just sort of taper off into fish tails. DO they actually have butts to kick?
Says teh girl with a chick in a net.
Stab that mermaid YEAH! 😀
The edge is blunt, but the tip may not be…
YES! ALL OF MY YES!! PUT THE FEAR OF STABBING INTO THEM!
