More mermaids! This is the 3rd of 5 strips this week. Look for the next one tomorrow!
So I’ve been trying to think of a good incentive to keep everyone voting for MM on TWC. How about this? If we finish up the month in the top 5 I’ll do an extra strip every week for the month of December. Does that sound good? If you have a suggestion for a better incentive plan, please let me know. I’ll make my choice on Friday.

So the mermaid bitch actually yelled out her attack as she did it. If I know my anime then that was just to show us one of the possible attacks used in the forthcoming Modest Medusa CCG.
And if chainsaw uni is sent to kill the people who befriend Medusa then there’s got to be something really good in store for people who are constantly being mean to her.

I think that your idea sounds good. I know other comics have a “Thank you” picture for voting that gets changed on a scheduled basis or something. Like, a weekly/biweekly/monthly sort of thing. I’ve seen others update it often enough to be a peek at the next strip. But those have been comics that update once a week. Other ideas though.
with friends like them, who needs enemies. a big plate of fried fish on the other hand…that would be useful. lol!

My suggestion for incentives would be to do it on a week by week basis. If we are in 5th place this Friday, do an extra strip next week. If we are in 5th place or better next week, do an extra strip the following week (and so on). December is a long way away, so week by week incentives might keep your votes from flagging early on (you are only 150 votes out of 5th right now).
My other suggestion would be to add a small incentive like a weekly sketch of a character (including fan art) if we are at 7th or 6th place, so there is some incentive to keep voting even when we aren’t making it to 5th. This would be less work for you then a full comic, but still give the voters something for their votes.
My! Those mermaids have a “don’t we feel silly?” look about them.
I like the incentive of wallpapers best so far especially if you have to click the vote button to get to it. That way traffic here would get funneled over to TWC. Wallpapers or extra comics that get updated once week on TWC seem to keep the other strips in the top 10.
