It’s a reference to the original Legend of Zelda. If you bomb a certain wall you reveal a hidden cave occupied by a single Moblin who says “It’s a secret to everybody” and gives you some rupees. (In the original Japanese, the Moblin is telling you that his hiding place is a secret, and pays you not to tell anyone about it.)
Yep. I used the reference in season 2 as well.
I just noticed the snake hair is getting really friendly.
Ekans has a really intense stare in panel 3 there lol. She’s seen some things.
“She stares into your soul. She looks you over.”
yeah. I actually had to redraw it because it was even more intense originally.

That was actually the alternate gag I was considering. But I decided it wasn’t fit for an all ages comic.

I don’t get that “it’s a secret to everyone” joke but I still laughed.
Its a reference to the original Zelda game. In the game there was a secret cave with a monster who would give you a bunch of coins. He would also say “Its a secret to everyone.”
I really hope The End is just The End….of the side story
