– This strip is a little short and kind of random, but it will make more sense with the next strip.
Last month my computer suddenly died. I’m sure you all remember me going on and on about it. I didn’t think I’d be able to afford to replace it. Luckily several readers and friends came together to help me out, first providing me with a computer I could use immediately and then helping me buy a brand new one. This was extremely generous and I feel so fortunate. My new computer is working great and I’ve been super productive over the last few weeks.
Thank you all so much. I’m sure I’ve forgotten to list someone in this illustration, but please know how much I appreciate your help and support.
This is the story of how Modest dropped her magic book in the lake. That’s possible where lake monsters come from, they’re just normal fish that eat magic books.
And if Modest hasn’t realized that a computer can be put together with duct tape by now then Jake’s better off if she doesn’t help him.
she has experience building computers. She made her own XBOX after all.
I would have thought her mom was the one that made XBOX… -heyoooo!
heyoooo!
So the new computer only works if you say “pew, pew, pew”?
I’m not sure, but I’m not going to NOT say pew pew pew and risk it.
Still one of the most adorable moments in the series.
I don’t think that one counted as building, more like _finding_ her very own XBOX.
But putting the pieces together and hoping it works is EXACTLY how you put a computer together. If its not right the piece won’t fit after all and if a piece is wrong it won’t fit 😛
Awe! That’s sweet how the readers were able to help you!
It was. I’m extremely fortunate and very, very grateful.
No Sneaky don’t even think about eating the book! (Bad snake!)
But really, it’s a cute chapter, end coming soon…
I just hope she doesn’t lose her book now.
I’m resisting the urge to have her just drop it in the water.
Are urges like that the actual reason Sneaky keeps eating things?
Maybe?
“It’s simply great, mate, waitin’ on the levee, waitin’ for the Robert E. Lee!”
Which begs the question, isn’t the portal down there in the water where books really don’t like to go?
Her backpack is waterproof. She planned ahead of time.
