– Every time I come back to drawing Jake after a long absence he looks weird. Will looks even stranger. Totally unrecognizable. Oh well.

Awwww Come on….deaths door and we get Jake…………aw man….a weekend now ruined….sigh
Hay I have a question does Yeld’s time move the same way as earth’s time? Or is it faster or slower?
Its not clear. When Marah, Jake and Modest took their first trip to Yeld they were gone for about 18 days. About the same amount of time passed in Yeld, but we don’t know if its exact. It may also bethat different means of travelling between the two worlds (auntie Naga’s spell, the Gorgon’s spell, the Prince’s portal, the doors) have different properties. But as far as the current story is concerned its been about a week on either side.
Fell asleep while on toilet watch. In the army he’d be court marshaled.
Good thing this isn’t army.
… And now for something completely different.
Interesting use of line thicknesses on this strip.
Thanks. I want to say it was intentional. but this whole strip was kind of a mess, and I edited it a lot before I colored it (and it was worse before that, believe it or not).
“How long have you been asleep?”
“Uh, when was I last seen in this comic?”
“December 2016.”
“Oh, so I’ve been asleep for about two years.”
Ha.
Holy crap!
I really had to double-check, and then to triple-check that it has actually been THAT long!!!
Honestly, how many years I’ve been following the whole comic then? 5? 7?
I feel bad for him… sitting there for days on end, unable to do anything but wait and pray that someday Modest will come back.
