So Dragul is the vampire prince who everyone was scared of at first but now we’re finding out that he’s really a sensitive guy with everyone’s best interest at heart.
Let’s not get carried away; he still has his own best interest at heart, and that’s about it. However, like almost everyone, there are some people who are valuable to him, if for no other reason than that they are important to his plans.
Not all evil people love being evil. He did state that he wasn’t always evil, which means that he probably slowly became that way. He has regrets, is what this all means.
There were at one point. Its very briefly touched on in Season 2 or 3. Dragon were part of Yeld’s megafauna, but they mostly died out long before the Old Kings came to Yeld. Dragul killed one of the last two dragons (the one whose bones Marah rode up into his castle) and subjugated the other one. So I guess there is a single Dragon left in Yeld.
