Anyway YAY what a concept! There’s gotta be a name for that. It’s similar to the ‘toyetic’ thing, when a story introduces something that everyone in the audience can imagine themselves participating in in their own very specific way, be it an OC or a power or whatever. If there isn’t one, I need to coin it. Like.. Fandomizing.

Try checking out the comments page on other wordpress comic sites, like uhh.. Selkie. That looks to be using the exact same mechanism as this one, but probably only the owner can do pictures.

I’ve caught a feeling that I know why Jake’s Patreon cannot reach $1000.

Maybe. Although if thats the case I’d be pretty disappointed. I’d hate to think people are cancelling pledges because they don’t want that content. It would be easier just to tell me.
Well, that’s people, unfortunately. Telling something is… fearsome.
I can also think that some $5 pledges might’ve been cancelled because you, ehm, never did those wallpapers for past year. Ok, maybe 3 times. But it’s not what people expect when you say “every month or so”, really.
I suspect thats true. The last year has been super busy, and I’ve fallen behind on my Patreon commitments. I’m trying to do better this year.

similar thing might actually apply to $10 pledges. What a potential patron see is your commitment to “Two or three times a year I’ll send you an original color sketch”, right?
And then on the other side of the same page he sees that there’s exactly 1 post for $10 patrons made by you over this whole time. Which is not really a sign that you are actually doing something for those patrons. I woud’ve expected you to regularly post a photo of all the recently drawn sketches, at least.
And then there are only 4 $25 posts ofer all-time. Not too promisingm even though it’s somewhat better than 1.
Well, the $10 Sketch pledges went out twice in the first 9 months they were offered (they were first offered in late March and April of last year). I’m hoping to do another round in May, so that will make it about 3 times in just over a year, and my plan is to do it to more times before the end of the year. I also did post all of the art for all backers to see.
The $25 sticker pledge was done 10 times last year and all three months this year.
I think part of the problem is that I’m not tagging this stuff well. It hadn’t occurred to me that patrons and potential patrons might be searching by tags for older content. I’ll need to find some time to go through my patreon and tag everything. I ‘m not sure when that will be though. I’ve go a lot on my plate right now. But I’ll have to figure it out.

I just ordered the first volume of the manga from Amazon.
There is also 13 episodes of anime
I saw. It looks good too, but right now the only time I have for watching anything is while i’m drawing, so that rules out any subbed stuff.
