For Yeld fans, I’m excited to say that we’ve released the brand new Shepherd Job Guide (featuring Shin, last seen in Modest Medusa Season 6). This full color expansion includes new art and background info about Ye;d’s oldest and most loved heroic Job, as well as a a brand new job ability called Road Hymns! The Guide also includes new special dice and items for both the Shepherd and their Sheep and a guide to playing different types of Shepherds, including the Highway Robber, Road Scholar and Town Crier!
You can get the Shepherd Job Guide as part of the Yeld Patreon, or from the Yeld Stuff Store or DrivethruRPG!
We’ve had one yes, but what about second Carlos?
We’ll just leave the loot here and you can transfer payment to our Swiss bank account…
In an eggplant based economy is this why hey needed a big person along? That loot probably fetches quite a load of eggplant.
Ah. So he thinks that *everything* you bring to him is loot. Including the person holding the loot.
Well… this took a vorish turn… :T
While you have only ever shown Jaspar with one hand at a time, in this clip you very clearly show his left hand in the second frame and his right hand in the last two.
You’re right! Damn.
So I’m really bad about that. I’ve made the mistake before with Charles too. In fact, I used to have a sticky note attached to my computer screen that said “Check the arms”. but when I moved last month it fell off.
It’s easy enough to remedy:

Then a tiny bit of exposition about how captains are slightly elastic
Ha! that made me laugh out loud.
…oh dear.
A third Carlos? A loss to the world, indeed.
Trustworthy!
Before reaching a hand into a snake’s cage, always check to see if the snake is hungry. A hungry snake is nobody’s friend.
“And then what happened?”
“…And then he got renamed to Christopher and retired to the Carri-*WHAT DO YOU THINK HAPPENED!?*”
Sorry to nitpick, but it looks like the captain grew his hand back to take off his hat
Yeah. Gnrrrg pointed that out too. I lost track of the hands.
It’s a case of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing – like coming back.
I love this page. now I want to see the Woolen King. I want to know what ghost milk tastes like.
Which hand is Jaspar holding his hat with?
I know, I know. I totally forgot about his hand.
Did one of the Carloses have to shear the Woolen King? And milk the ghosts?
There was a third Carlos?
So, wait. One is a cannonneer, one is a weapons master, what was the third one’s skill?
(Chief medical officer. That’s my guess.)
Probably just a damn good sailor.
Quartermaster – you know, he was in charge of being the food. Oops, perhaps that “being” was extra, there… but perhaps not.
So how many Carlos are there?
Tons and tons. Its a traditional Pirate name. No one leaves port without at least 2.
I think I heard somewhere that pirates aren’t very creative with names…. 😉
There may be more than one Pirate whose name is just “Pirate”.
So do I just buy my Carlos as a set? Or do they bud off or asexually split to the proper number?
So how it really works is that Pirates (the species) have diverse family names, but tend to choose from a very few first names that have greatness associated with them. So in the past there was probably a great sailor named Carlos, so families who want their kid to succeed at sailing name them Carlos, and the kids work hard to live up to that reputation, and Captains recruit sailors with that name. We only know a few Pirate names. Carlos, Jaspar, Roland, Barry and Rick. We know that Barrys and Ricks aren’t considered as good.
It eats the customers? That messed up. Also in the last panel of the last comic it looks like the minister’s body is forking into a head and the rest of it’s body.
Mobius snake!
I remember 3rd Carlos… good kid… heart of gold… now he’s selling timeshares in Florida…
Was that Carlos Fitz Carlos?
On a totally semi-random tangent, Rose City Acupuncture is once more open and seeing patients. If your back is still bothering you, it would be worth investigating.
I should check that out. I was interested before, but I never got around to it.
So are those arms that were made by goblins? Or are they arms that were cut from goblins? 😉
Goblin weapons.
