– This one probably requires some explaining if you’re not a Steven Universe fan. Steven Universe is a Cartoon Network show about a boy who lives with three super powered alien women called The Crystal Gems. The gems can do a lot of neat stuff, and one of the things they sometimes do is fuse with each other, combining their bodies together into a larger form with the personality and physical traits of both individuals. The show is pretty neat and you should definitely watch it if you get a chance. I didn’t think I’d like it, but I was completely into by episode three. Charles is a big fan too.

I actually watched the first five episodes of SU because people on here liked it. It’s not bad! (I can’t say it’s exactly good, either) I like it.
I feel like the show’s weakest episodes are the first 10. After that it builds up fast and becomes very satisfying. Stick with it!
I tend to recommend my students get wands (they come in packages marked “Pencils”), rubber or vinyl blocks you can throw at your classmates (most of us call them erasers), binders into which the student will just stuff their hand-outs (even when the hand-outs come with holes already punched in them) and not put in anything to actually record notes, and for my computer science students, USB memory sticks to store videos and warez they find on the Internet (not for actually holding their assignments or something reasonable like that).
At least, that is the way my students seem to want to use them.
That sounds about right.
Hello there! I’ve been binging on your comic for the past ~8 hours and I’ve greatly enjoyed it. There’s an incredible amount of sheer cuteness, which I greatly appreciate since I cannot live without adorable content and you’ve singlehandedly given me 2 years of life with Modest’s escapades. But you also have a balanced amount of other types of storytelling and you’ve done an excellent job fleshing out what seems to be a simple comic. I especially like how thoughtfully you communicate the more serious or touching moments! While I cannot support you financially, you’ve definitely earned yourself another dedicated reader. Thank you. :3
Thanks you! I’m glad you liked Modest Medusa, and I appreciate that you took the time to comment.
*gasp* The waifu pokemon! ‘.^~*
Welcome to the commenters section, milk’s in the fridge, cookies in the cabinet.
Yeah, Charles don’t leave her hanging!
She eats Lego blocks. Jake can probably get her school supplies and lunch supplies in the same aisle.
i wonder how Medusa reacted to Ruby and Saphire?
Who knows? She probably went around the house trying to fuse with everything.
Ask MM:
What’s your favorite method of fusion? Cold? Nuclear? Dance? Polymerization?
Added to the list!
Melting. Look up “heat of fusion” for details.
:3 I love Steven Universe too!
Also! Have you ever heard of this new show that recently came out called Star Vs The Forces of Evil?? Its pretty good.
Just heard about it this week. I plan on checking it out soon, but next up for me is RWBY.
I found that “Star vs TFoE” doesn’t compare to SU at all for me. Too many absurd and random things, like as if everyone was Amethyst.
RWBY is an interesting suggestion, even if you didn’t intend it as such (:
It’s been suggested to me by many, many readers.
Modest isn’t going to like her school supplies. Like Steven Universe.
I am just afraid that will like them too much, as in delicious.
Jake: What are your snakes doing?
MM: I gave them some of the gum you bought us.
Jake: Gum? What are you talking about? Let me see the package.
MM: Here. (The opened package say “Gum Eraser”)
Presumably the Sorting Hats are needed to put the pupils into the right genres: ninja, magical girl, British wizarding, mutant, padawan… Modest may be less than pleased that she’s already been pre-sorted into ‘normal’.
We have a process called “Special Education Assessment” that has a similar function.
Longtime fan but haven’t commented till now how much I just LOVE LOVE LOVE this strip! Great fun, high adventure and …chocodiles?
Well now, i finally tried a Chocodile for the first time yesterday and MMMMmmmmMMMMmmmm! Yes Modest, i get it!
Cool!
