I won’t be at APE in San Francisco this weekend, but my friends Ewen Cluney and Be Lehman will be. Go see them at booth 273 to buy one of my role playing games or get a free copy of the Modest Medusa con book.
chocodiles: a must need for any trip to save your uncle from a possible alternate world that can only be reached by toilet and has a unicorn with a flaming chainsaw for a horn hunting you.
The Triumphant, if not unwanted, RETURN OF THE GRAN SORCEROR!
I read about 9 different webcomics from the most likely dead animated webcomic Secret of Mana Theater, to still-churning-them-out Nerf This.. to this…. and with my internet dead for a few weeks… BY GOLLY HAVE I HAD A LOT TO READ! 😀
HAPPY DAVIDICUS!
Great coming back, and they need more chocodiles.
Can’t wait to see what’s been going on on Jake’s end. *.*
am i the only one to notice the “the prodigy” shirt? and this is only the second webcomic to make a prodigy reference…what is it with them and webcomics? though they are awesome…
Maybe Prodigy and Wil Wheaton are just two things that naturally mesh well with Webcomics. never heard any of their music. i’m trying to decide how tall Marah is compared to those boots. depending on how long her legs are those might be inappropriately sexy boots. Also Medusa should totally bring an NES controller with her to use as an morning star.
food is always the hardest thing to find on an adventure. that and a bit of rope. there’s never a bit of rope when you need it, unless you pack it with you.
Adventuring Checklist
1.Sword.
2. Bottles
3. Food
4. Rope
5. A Crank
6. A light source.
7. A Book
8. First Aid Kit.
9. A comprehensive knowlledge of Army of Darkness and the Old Dungeons and Dragons cartoon.
10. A Slingshot/ Boomerang.
11. A Bell.
12. A Mirror
13. A pack of hotdogs [for throwing off hungry carnivores]
14. A Bag big enough to hold items 1-13. {really should have started with that]
15. A Checklist of classic riddles and answers like the two frogs one only speaks lies the other only truths.
16. Shiney baubles.
17. An item that seems thoroughly useless at the time but later turns out to be really important.
The Con book is a little 12 page color book that I give out (or sell for $1) at conventions. It’s the first 12 pages of the comic, and the idea is to send it home with people so they’ll check out the rest online. So it’s nothing fancy.
Where is the rope? If there is anything I have learned from 25 years of playing D&D, it’s to never leave home without rope. And preferably the rope use skill, but that’s a little hard to stock up on in an emergency situation.
Ten foot poles are also useful, but not so practical when toilet diving.
Goggles? A snorkel? You know, you’re going into a toilet. I’m not expecting a rebreather, but some underwater equipment would probably help.
Come to think of it, we don’t know how much time the trip will take. Are medusas amphibious? Protagonist Medusa didn’t seem to be having trouble during the trip to this world. I really hope that doesn’t bite Mara in the ass.
Stocking up on Chocodiles there, chicky? XD
Gotta stock up on them Chocodiles
I’m starting to notice a bit of product placement in form of chocodiles.
And Nintendo. And Prodigy. And flashlights.
Shiny, shiny flashlights.
How can you guys not mention the awesome, kick-ass sword as well?

Never forget the rope! SRSLY.

You think they’ve packed enough chocodiles? Because I think they need more.
oh snap! seven panels!!
“a free copy of the Modest Medusa con book”
What is this? 🙂
The Con book is a little 12 page color book that I give out (or sell for $1) at conventions. It’s the first 12 pages of the comic, and the idea is to send it home with people so they’ll check out the rest online. So it’s nothing fancy.
Chocodiles! Great minds think alike!
Where is the rope? If there is anything I have learned from 25 years of playing D&D, it’s to never leave home without rope. And preferably the rope use skill, but that’s a little hard to stock up on in an emergency situation.
Ten foot poles are also useful, but not so practical when toilet diving.
And chalk. You’d be surprised the uses you can get outta chalk in DnD!
Knee-high leather heel boots? CHECK
Stiletto boots? Possible weapons or are they just to look nice because those things can get uncomfortable after long periods of time.
so sword, cloths, flashlight, games, game controller with a cord, stiletto boots, and of course the most important thing chocodiles.
Also what is the marking on forehead it shows up 3 out 4 panels on niece? and 2 out of 4 on the modest Medusa panels
It’s the indent between the eyebrows.
it would be funny if they forgot toilet paper
Goggles? A snorkel? You know, you’re going into a toilet. I’m not expecting a rebreather, but some underwater equipment would probably help.

Chocodiles, never leave home without it.
umm, am I the only one who noticed that Medusa just undressed magically. Why isn’t she embarrassed any-more? This is just so confuddling!
She got over it. Kids are weird about clothes.
Triangle mouth: the strip.
It never really bothered me until this particular comic…
