– Artist Alley Comics Fest was last Sunday here in SE Portland. It was a small first year show put on by my friends Huynh and Addam of the Spritely Bean Comic Cafe. It was fantastic! Seriously, it was the best comic show/con/festival/whatever I’ve been to in years. I had so much fun! Several of you came out to say hi and I want to thank you all so much. i hope you had a good time too. I’m really looking forward to next year!
– I’ll be at the Northwest Comic Fest in Salem on the 15th and 16th of this month. I had a good time in Salem back in… March? I think? So lets see if teh second time is just as good.
Oooooh, we finally see her name! Can I please borrow her. We need an entity like that at my house. Perhaps she can teach my daughter to have cleaning skills I don’t have. XD
Maybe.
– “Oh, that? That was there when we moved in. I think it’s pretty! Maybe one day I’ll do one with my own name on.”
>:=)>
I most certainly don’t have cleaning skills. Hopefully I’ll marry someone who does. 😛
If only all children were so eager to learn how to clean their rooms.
Medusa is a odd child. And I do not mean the snake parts or her family tree. Or the world she comes from.
It is just Medusa that is so wierd.
I think she is too. She gets excited about weird things.
Agreed. Modest just gets excited about the weirdest things, like cleaning your room. These things are very normal for other kids, but Jake, I’m sorry to say that your parenting skills may be a bit less than adequate.
What skills? And how would he get ’em? He’s not a parent!
Admittedly, being excited about learning how and being excited about actually doing it are not necessarily the same thing.
It was a pleasure meeting you, Jake! Thanks for the doodles in my new book, and for your autograph! You’re so cool!
I realize, though, that I should have asked for a doodle of one of the pirates instead of Ekans, seeing as she doesn’t appear in the third book. But it’s a fine doodle either way!
It was great to meet you too. I should try to remember that drawing the pirates is an option. They’re pretty easy to draw.
Modest is curious and interested, but she has a steep learning curve…. At least that is my intuition at this point.
Artists Alley was an easy trip. Salem – don’t like Salem. Makes my truck drink too much gas! Still…..
I have no idea if the Salem show will be any good, but the last one had a bar, and that was pretty novel.
Psh! I’m in Salem, and I came up to Portland for Artist Alley! Then again, I drive a Prius…
/)^3^(
Hah! If only more kids were that excited to learn how to clean their room.
Modest has no concept of cleaning. Jake has a long road ahead of him.
Modest is so innocent! She doesn’t do things like clean-up because she really has no idea how (or why). Not because she’s a ‘bad kid’.
Although she can be naughty, lolz!
She should teach her snakes to help her, cleaning would be a breeze!
What you really needs is a maralith- 6 arms and a snake tail would really hep the cleaning and day-to-day chores.
It’s been about a year in-strip time and she’s never seen anyone pick anything up at Jake’s house?
How convenient that Meg had a book on the floor to demonstrate with.
I’m not sure I’ve cleaned anything at my house except my laundry in the last year.
…And this is a hanger…
This one made me laugh out loud!
That will be my kids one day…
…And I just realized that was three pages in a row!
HAT TRICK!
I think I like Modest’s new friend. I never could stand people who like to live amidst teetering piles of clutter.
Oh boy, we wouldn’t get along.
It’s not “teetering piles of clutter” it’s loot from past adventures. 🙂
Boring adventures, but yeah.
I notest That Ekans has a bunk bed is there an Arbok in the house?
I wish I had thought of that.
No but there is a Seviper
What’s Ekans doing going into Meg’s room?
I know! Right!?
Hey, is that a copy of “How Mirka got her Sword” that Meg is putting back on her shelf?
Yeah. It’s a surprisingly popular book with Kids who live in SE Portland.
They’ll all be reading Mirka and the Meteorite soon!
And the new one soon after that.
pre-order your copy today!
Oh, wow, we forgots she has our name! >n.n< *Purrrrrs*
