– Back from Grit City Comic Con in Tacoma. I had a great time and got to meet several readers for the first time. I think I’ll go back next year!
– Hi everyone. I’d like to mention that you can support my work on Patreon or Ko-fi (or by ordering stuff from my store). I’m sure you won’t be surprised to find that I don’t make much. Since the pandemic money has been especially tight, and I’ve had to spend more and more time on freelance work and commissions to pay the bills. Which means less time making comics and art for you all to enjoy. Recently things have improved a little due to several very generous readers, but I could still use your support. If you can spare a small monthly contribution through Patreon or a tip through Ko-fi I’d really appreciate. Your support directly help finance both my comics work and pay my living expenses!
Then: close-up onto clock showing 9:15.
(At first I typed 7:45 but decided to Google at what hour elementary school in USA starts)
Well… it’s not like we can’t understand how Modest is feeling here.
Yeah, waiting till lunch to trade cards is agonizing.
Gene was banished to the time savers’ shadow realm by the last panel ^^’.
I tried to draw him behind Ms. Booth, but he just became a confusing blob. So I’m saying he scooted away from Modest to stay out of trouble.
Well, at least she asked properly.
No, she didn’t say “Please.”
My nephews have been getting into trading pokemon cards. They can’t even really read yet, but they love them. Told them once they prove they can take good care of their cards I’ll pull out my collection of older cards for them to look at.
I’m sure they’ll love that.
Also: Modest is totally drawing sheep instead of writing down what Ms. Booth is telling them :’D
Another great shot of a cracked out kid! XD What’s with the wide eyes and thick circles? lol
