I must say Jake that I’m a bit disappointed with all these late comics etc. lately, I enjoy the comic but I expected more
It’s taken over 5 months to get this far into this flashback segment which should’ve taken 2 1/2 months at your promised three comics a week (Mon, Wed, & Fri)
I know. Doing these larger pages takes a lot longer, and it’s been a busy few months anyway. But that’s no excuse. I was hoping to have this season finished by now. I’m hoping that in the next week I can get back to my 3 strip a week schedule.
I think its all good, its been a great comic so far. I have really enjoyed it and I love the art work. its worth the wait think.
I appreciate that, but I am eager to get back on track. This slow schedule is driving me nuts!

You are giving us free ice cream. You are putting your WORK out there for us to enjoy for free. You work at your pace and I’ll be thankful for each and every wonderful comic. A friend got your books at Sakuracon (I think) in Tacoma and got me hooked. Anyone complaining about the pace you provide your free goodies at needs a reality check.

Thank you. It irks me to no end when people complain about stuff that’s given away for free, especially when it’s of such good quality. People need to learn how to appreciate the things they are given.
I don’t mind you being late, but could you when you have free time make a new we are late picture?

late again…oh hell, the update is going to be worth it 😉 and compared to others your tempo still rocks….btw, i just re-read some of older stuff and stumbled over the survey for medusa-toys. anything now on that front? i could kill for a medusa plushie – and a figurine of that kick-ass drudge angel!

Jake, it’s OK, seriously. Why not stop killing yourself and just state that it’s a two days a week update? You’re drawing serious art now, much better than ever before, and it takes time. Everybody who cares about this stuff knows that.
That said, I wanna Chainsaw Unicorn plushie. For…uh…for a friend, yeah, that’s it.
As much I would hate to lose a day of this comic I think Other Timothy is right about probably dropping a day to give you more time. I have seen several comic artist doing what you are doing, trying to do too much, of course you aren’t doing it any where near as bad as Olympus Overdrive. But still what I am trying to say is I do not think anyone will start a mob and try to burn you at the stake. If there is someone who does get a group together I believe a majority of your readers will stand behind your decision and protect you from the angry mob.
I appreciate the advice. I think that once this season is over (which will be soon) I’ll be able to comfortably get back to three strips a week.
Someday I want to see a compilation of these pensive “Late again?” pages.
I might do that as a little mini comic.
