Jake: Okay sis I have good news and bad news. The good news is we saved Medusa. The bad news is Marah sorta died and got taken away to warrior heaven by a tentacle haired angel thing…….. would it make you feel better if I said I’d let you adopt the snake girl?
Is Modest about to receive a lesson in the consequences of death, loss and severed attachment? Or is Jake going to learn that he is living with a five-year-old Elder God, who lives simultaneously in the world of the living and the afterlife… and is having a grand old time playing with Marah and the souls of Pokémon who lost valiantly in tournament battle?
I don’t think Mr. “It’s not even a real sword” is getting off without a few nicks and bruises either. Sending Marah into an dangerous world with protection you know is faulty? That’s a paddlin. Charles not doing more to protect Marah? That’s a paddlin {Charles actually sacrificed his arm to protect Marah and Modest But when you tell a parent their child is dead the little details are overshadowed by the… ya know death.,} Hell I bet even Sarah who had like literally no part and even “other bearded guy who kind of looks like Jake” are going to get the cold shoulder from Marah’s mother.
However Jake is still alive which tells us Drudge Marah showed up before Jake could be beaten to death with his own appendages. Now Drudge Marah is going to be bending the rules of the Drudge Angels and treating Drudge Angel as a job instead of a new state of being. “Sorry mom gotta go to work duty calls.” Being of our world and dying in Yeld has given her the ability to ferry the souls of dead warriors from both worlds. Every policeman who is gunned down by some street thug, every soldier who dies for the greater good in war, these are the men and women who will see Marah in their final moments. They will never have to worry about dying alone. She will be with them and take them to the afterlife they deserve.
I take it a certain mother did not take the news well.
hes still alive so id say she took it well
ohh, thats a nice black eye, but i guess he’s lucky that he didn’t get worse.
Wear something warm this time.
Yeesh, Jake. Might want to slap a steak on that sucker. I’m really looking forward to hearing what he told his sister.

Oopsie. Somebody doesn’t take bad news very well.
Marah’s demise didn’t go over so well with the Momthra, I gather?
Momthra.
Yeah, I expected that her mom wouldn’t take it well. Give her some space for now, Jake.
I’m thinking that Jake got off easy…

Wow.
“No, Medusa, Marah isn’t going to respawn.”
“What?!”
Forgot to get your sister drunk before telling her that her daughter died in a fantasy land?
that is horrifying.
Lemme guess: uuummmmm……Jake went to talk to his sis about Marah & oh boy did he get himself a “welcoming response”. Yep, that’d just about do it….
Jim
Looks like he got off pretty light.
Oh right, you went to see your sister and tell her the bad news. I see she took it well.
Ah, looks like Jake just returned from another convention!
Yeah, that’s about how it feels.
I just finished my first one.
I’m surprised it’s not worse for Jake.
Considering the news he imparted, I’d say he got let off pretty easy
“I umm walked into a door”.
you didn’t show the scene of this? please tell me you will flash back, this is important!
We could use a cleric or white Mage here.
Phoenix down. XD
I warned ya Jake. Don’t say I didn’t.

“I keep getting my butt kicked for you!”
Oh jeez, finally got myself caught up with everything. I really wasn’t expecting Marah to die. =(
Here’s hoping things turn out okay, at least as okay as they can be.
Charles: “So how did your talk with your sister go?”
Jake: “About as well as I expected.” LOL
Oooh! That’s has got to hurt. >~<
I'm guessing things didn't go well with Marah's Mom… 🙁
Nice shiner, thar, Jake.
.wow. I hope Jake can get at least a shirt and a shower and a decent night’s sleep before he has to get any more beatings.
