– Gah! I’m sure you’ve all noticed that I’ve missed the last few Friday updates. I’m trying to get back on schedule. Unfortunately. after I finished coloring this page and as I was about to start lettering I accidentally closed the file. What you see here is my most recent save. To make things worse, my stylus all the sudden stopped working, and I can’t figure out why. So unable to color the rest of the page I decided to just letter it and post what I have instead of skipping another Friday. I’ll finish the colors up as soon as I can figure out what happened with my stylus. Very frustrating!
– I’ll be at Kumoricon over labor Day weekend. Come see me in the artist alley!
Hahahaha it’s kinda funky this way. =P Hope your equipment starts playing ball soon x
Marah never drew pictures on the notes to her mom?
Maybe if you rip it in two it will turn into two pictures of sheep.
This update brought to you by the soul-less version of Modest medusa!
Faaaangs!
(Also love the comic!)
Too perfect.
Those blank eyes are terrifying!
Poor Medusa went blind.
It’s the thought that counts. 😀
There is something about the black void of medusa’s eyes that just… Absolutely terrifys me 0_0
Ah, Modest. Never change. 😀
My theory is that you just colored the most important parts in Modest’s opinion. Of course, Modest is colored, so she’s important. Also, Marah’s mouth, which is where chocodiles go when they’re not going into Medusa’s mouth.
So, Modest is thinking about chocodiles again.
Ha!
First !! Also lol Modest can’t write but, she can draw a very nice sheep.
I was wondering what you were trying to convey with Modest’s eyes til I noticed mare was uncolored.
Medusa with solid black eyes is very creepy….
No eye highlight medusa is creepy!
I doubt that anyone, especially their mother would have taught any of the medusa to read or write.
If Momdusa had their kids when she was still nice, I could totally see her teaching them those skills.
We’ve actually seen Modest write before,so we know she can do it at least a little.
I haven’t done an archive binge on MM yet, so I’m bound to forget a few details.
Nevermind all the Pokemon she plays. I don’t know how you could play that and not read at least a little.
Of course, I don’t know how young they start. I think I had already graduated high school by the time I saw Pokemon Red/Blue for the first time. It was at one of those demo kiosks in the mall. Probably Sears.
The downstairs neighbor kids were playing video games years before they could read. Marah too, now that I think about it. Even games that required a LOT of reading,
Well, sheesh, Marah. She’s just about ready for snake-girl kiddygarten. Cut the kid some slack…
Maybe it’s the first part of her transformation into… Momdusa!
Actually, this is kind of a refreshing change Jake. I totally get it, after spending the past 3 years working on the new book (finally came out on Amazon last week). I hate computers on the best of days. This would look great colored, but part of me wants it to stay like this until Disney/Marvel drives a dump truck of cash up to your garage and forces you to sign over MM to the corporate machine.
Hey! You could use my Modest Medusa Filler if you want on Fridays you don’t have anything. I’m making some more fillers soon.
I was going to save them for the end of the month while I’m at Kumoricon.
Cool!
Okay, so Jake needs to enroll her in school.
