– Hi everyone. I’m taking today off to work on my new 24 Hour comic. I’ll be posting it later this month. In the meantime, here’s the monthly Medusa sticker for Patreon backers. I’ve been tempted to draw Medusa as one of the characters from the new movies, but I’ve decided to wait and see if I like any of them first. So in the meantime here’s Medusa dressed as a scruffy nerf herder! I hope you like her! I’ll be back on Weds with a new strip!
I guess she is getting ready for a “Solo” adventure
I’ve herd some luke warm puns in my day, but…
I think you were trying to force that pun, Mistie.
I don’t think it’s that biggs of a stretch.
You just had to wedge that in there ^3^
Careful. She’ll shoot first.
Sneaky shot first.
It’s Han(na) Mo-dest! And who is thinking that prior to this appearance, Modest tried nagging Jake to appear with her, dressed as Chewbacca?
That doll! I love it. I want one.
Every time I see her in… um… how do you like to call it? Pant-equivalents?
I think wearing that should be interfering with her ability to move. Even if the “legging” was as flexible as spandex to allow her needed full range of motion, the rough belly scales that flex to provide traction and flatten to provide smooth sliding would be smoothed over… and she’d have the same trouble moving quickly on a hardwood floor as an excited dog. (example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flnDkrJgrwk )
I could see her realistically wearing something like a skirt, that only extended down her length about as far as she is keeping upright, leaving the rest of her tail that is flush with the ground bare for full movement ability. It would certainly be enough to satisfy most human ideas about modesty, I think (being about equal to being barefoot in terms of body coverage).
How well that would for her in winter, with temperature concerns would be another question entirely. I think there was a long discussion in comments before about her being warm or cold blooded. I think we settled on warm. Also, much like Mz Mermaid their, we’ve seen that medusae are adapted well to swimming in deep, cold lakes (most likely by a layer of insulating body fat under her skin, like most deep aquatic creatures) so that’s a new piece of evidence provided.
