Some people really get into Halloween. The little skull candles, exchanging the memento mori gifts, hanging decorations from the dead tree, singing Halloween carols around the old bone fire . . .
I think that’s the very first time Modest has seen anything that large ever. I mean inlander folk also sometime have that reaction. Remember, that’s just the TOP of the water
Seem to me this reminds me of a song….ah yes….(below)
the alan parsons project time lyrics
Time, flowing like a river
Time, beckoning me
Who knows when
We shall meet again, if ever
But time keeps flowing
Like a river to the sea
Goodbye my love
Maybe for forever
Goodbye my love
The tide waits for me
Who knows when
We shall meet again, if ever
But time keeps flowing
Like a river (on and on)
To the sea, to the sea
‘Til it’s gone forever
Gone forever
Gone forevermore
Goodbye my friend
(Goodbye my love)
Maybe for forever
Goodbye my friend
(Who knows when
We shall meet again)
The stars wait for me
Who knows where
We shall meet again, if ever
But time keeps flowing
Like a river (on and on)
To the sea, to the sea
‘Til it’s gone forever
Gone forever
Gone forever
Gone forever now
Forevermore, forevermore
I’ve only been out on the beach at night once, but in the darkness I genuinely couldn’t tell where the sea ended and the sky began. I could understand why it scared H.P. Lovecraft so much in that moment.
Yanno, aside from him hating and fearing almost everything.
Yeah, I let October creep up on me. I still haven’t decided what to get my mom.
For October?

That last panel is beautiful, Story.
Thanks!
Agreed.

Yeah. I don’t remember when I first saw the ocean, but I remember being with MANY people when they first saw it. Its a real moment.
In the third panel, one of Modest’s snakes is yellow.
Sea sick
Wouldn’t that be nice, Modest?
Wouldn’t that be nice…
What a wonderful moment between parent and child. 😊
Much like Life, which also goes on…forever.

That’s lovely

Aside from that.
