Back from the convention, but I left my drawing tools behind. So this is a rare 100% digital strip. Usually I sketch out a strip on paper (including writing the script in the margins) before scanning it to ink, color and letter. I don’t know if you can tell the difference at all. teh process isn’t any slower or faster, but i enjoy drawing by hand on physical paper. It is slower to ink by hand (and costs more too. pens are expensive), so I do that part digitally. Even though I love hand inking.

Well, Jenny knows about the chemicals. I didn’t think she would.
yeah, I think she’s been to a pool before, just not this one.
The “pool smell” is actually chlorine and urine. (꒪⌓꒪)
Nope, it’s actually an interaction with any of a variety of organic compounds. Sweat for example also triggers the smell
Well, chlorine and ANYTHING that causes chlorine to break down, but urine is one of those things, yeah
Panel two, Meg’s last word. Fvorite.
how did the swim top; hide under the lego shirt…?
Very carefully!
I was originally just going to have her swim naked, but she’s really getting to old for that. And if Meg has a swimsuit, she’ll want one too.
Medusa are Warm Blooded despite being part snake, right?
Otherwise we’d see more basking and less swimming.
I think so.
I also like to draw on paper to sketch out my ideas for my comic then scan it in and finish it with didgital. I find it helpful to do it physically to get my ideas out first then cle@m things up afterwards
Uh huh.
I often feel like my art is less fluid when I just draw digitally.
I suspected mermaids wouldn’t tolerate pool chemicals well, but I’m surprised she can smell anything over that cigarette.
I think cigarettes, pool fink and medusa stink are all pretty smelly.
Maybe she smokes BECAUSE she then can’t smell anything.
