– Hi everyone. I’d like to mention that you can support my work on Patreon or Ko-fi (or by ordering stuff from my store). I’m sure you won’t be surprised to find that I don’t make much. Since the pandemic money has been especially tight, and I’ve had to spend more and more time on freelance work and commissions to pay the bills. Which means less time making comics and art for you all to enjoy. Recently things have improved a little due to several very generous readers, but I could still use your support. If you can spare a small monthly contribution through Patreon or a tip through Ko-fi I’d really appreciate. Your support directly help finance both my comics work and pay my living expenses!
To be honest, the “Medusa doesn’t know what a normal thing is” joke has gotten fairly old. I can’t imagine her having gone through all she has – from adventures in Yeld to regular school education – without knowing what a bone is.
If anything, it speaks poorly about Comic Jake. How… How the heck does she not know some of this stuff?
Given that we see her sisters attempt to eat whole live sheep, her hair eats LEGO pieces, and whatever else, I think it’s plausible. She can eat food whole, so she wouldn’t notice bones for that reason, and she hasn’t run into any skeletons. Also, asking “what are bones” may be more of an expression of confusion than her literally being unaware of the concept of bones. It may not occur to her that she’s supposed to have bones, or that creatures have bones while they are still alive.
Yeeeaaahhh, maybe Modest’s a bit too young to answer a question about her anatomy yet… :’D
Understandable. There are no bones in chocodiles.
I mean she can suck in her head…
No bones about it, it turns out hydras, the majority of whom don’t even have arms later in life, are not known for well developed hands.
“can’t make snap”? Might wanna adjust that line a bit.
No, its correct. Its Jenny’s accent.
Love the look of panel three!
Thanks.
Sneks have bones.
