Ah, Modest is doing the classic kids mistake. Saying something was “aweful”, but not explaining. In the end adult doesn’t have any objective info and can just assume that the kid is overreacting over nothing.
Ah, but a parent (or guardian) should know to ask for more details. 😉
Love the look of utter betrayal there at the end.
I second that. The look is priceless. Love it!
You won’t know torture until you’re forced to say please and thank you, and clean under your fingernails.
Dangit man why didn’t you explain to her how friendship is magic n that people can have more than one
Everday for the next twelve years at least.
Ah, Medusa, it is only beginning!!
Yep, you have to go back for the next thirteen-ish years, Modest. : /
Has to go back. That *is* pretty cruel…
Enough to make a wee medusa want to be a big snake!
People have to stop lying to Modest about stuff. First they tell her she’s not the princess and she finds out otherwise, then they tell her school isn’t a prison and she finds out she has to go back. It’s like the elephant of surprise is going out of its way to give her a hard time.
Eventually, Modest will find out what “Ekans” actual name is. Won’t that be a surprise.
Her real name is Ekkans.
Plot twist: “Ekans’ ” real name is actually Ekans.
This is canon.
Addendum: this is fan canon until otherwise stated.
Yes. Yes you have to, Modest. Hi hi.
LOLOLOLOLOL Man I forgot what it was like being a kid!
I’ve said the samething as Modest says on panel 4 about a few jobs…
honestly jake should be asking what the teacher and other kids did instead of just brushing it off, but he is still new to the whole “dad” thing so I will let it slide. besides real parents don’t always ask or believe anyway until you bash another student in the head with the bottle they had been hitting you with.
A true marine ALWAYS goes back!
Jake: Sounds like you had a normal sort of first day, all things considered.
Jake: Alright… if you want me to be honest:- better side of normal.
The “next” button is broken… oh…
That’s right, Modest. You’re going back!
Every kid says that, and as sad as it is, it gets funnier everytime.
